Seems to be the major restaurant in this small end-of-the-road type village. Was looking for the traditional “Hawaiian plate lunch”, but they didn’t have it. Got the closest thing, shredded pork, cabbage and sticky rice. Was ok, nothing to write home about. Service ok, pretty...More

The liberal political “humor” next to the rest rooms was over the top and disrespectful to customers. The owner obviously doesn’t think very highly of at least 50% of those who care to visit. You have your opinion and so do I. The food and...More

Ooooo... there's that "no sense of humor among conservatives" thing again. Is that true? I don't mind being honest and having a joke about a "Trump Sandwich" if you're wondering, folks. And it's not 50% - he lost the popular vote, remember? There are a...More

Had to wait 10 min. for a table at 2pm, can't imagine what it was like at noon. Really enjoyed the pot stickers and mango tea. Service was great, ambience quirky, and prices reasonable.

Very friendly staff, food was delicious. Coconut crusted fish was excellent, ribs were finger licking good. Service was very timely.

Oh gosh ... that was meant as a joke. Sorry folks. It was such a small and easy request, I thought you would see the humor in it. You didn't. My apologies.

Stopped here for lunch. Service was prompt and quick, food was outstanding. Interesting flavors and combinations. Fish cooked perfectly. Didn't appreciate some of the political humor posted by the bathrooms but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Had the pork sandwich and was probably one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I’ve had. Great coleslaw on the side. Passion fruit iced tea was very refreshing on a hot day. Would definitely recommend.

The food and drinks were very good and the service outstanding. Staff friendly and accommodating. When on Hawaii, this is a must do. I could easily become a regular if I lived nearby. The best part of our visit was chatting with the owner about...More

Awwww mannnnn... my secret is out. I do ask people not to write about me on the internet because it sets up an expectation that I DO NOT meet other than occasionally. Primarily, I'm grumpy and fussy. Jon was just lucky.

We went to Bamboo 13 years ago during our honeymoon and knew we wanted to go back on this visit as it was our favorite restaurant on the island. It did not disappoint! We had the fresh fish I had mine done Thai style and...More

We were exploring the island and stopped in this small town just to browse. It happened to be around lunch, so we looked for a place to eat and walked into this local restaurant called Bamboo. What a treat. Servers were excellent and the owner...More

Thank you so much, Carole. Gads, I am so curious what my "O'Hara" is?!?!?!? Just FYI, the average restaurant operates on a 3-5% profit. Fast food chains average 6% and really fancy super expensive places can make as much as 15%. We operate on 3%,...More
