Service was mildly slow but the sushi rolls were worth the wait. Scallop sushi with cheese was excellent the poke roll was divine and noodles were above average. Cost us $50 for 4 people; ordered 7 rolls and one bowl of noodles.

This is the best sushi in Hilo, however the service can be quite terrible and slow. Never get takeout, it took hours. Really delicious and reasonably priced rolls though. Highly recommend the spicy tempura roll, best sushi roll I've ever had!
Hostess was not friendly but the Kalbi Ribs were delicious. The prices were very affordable and our food was out in a reasonable amount of time. The miso soup was the best I have ever had and I have tried many different places. The tempura...More

Great dishes for a very inexpensive price. So many choices on the menu to choose from makes it difficult to decide what to order. Very reasonable prices make it affordable for everyone. If you like Sushi, make this stop in old Hilo town.

Serving previously frozen salmon must be some kind of crime in Japan, but obviously not in Hawaii..... I had the worst Salmon Teriyaki ever in this restaurant. It was so dry and chewy I had to send it back. This should not be allowed to...More
Ocean sushi has a very good menu and very good food, but there really is no atmosphere in the restaurant. The service was rather slow, we only ordered two sushi roll items and it took almost twenty five minutes before it was delivered to us....More
