Referred by a coworker. Friendly and helpful staff. Free bread samples. Very clean restrooms. Guitar singer like ever place in Hawaii. Thumbs up for the macadamia nut shortbread cookies.
This bakery is a must stop for sweet bread enthusiasts. The malasadas are also top notch. The menu items are reasonably priced and gets the job done, but nothing to rave about.
We stop here for some sweet things. We had chocolate malasada (fried donut) and bread pudding. We didn't think these were any special or yummy. (Dunking donut is a lot better) but the place was clean . Perfect to stop for a toilet and good...More
On the way to visit the National Park this was a great place to stop for a coffee and something to eat. Huge selection of very yum bakery food. Lovely relaxed seating out the back in the gardens.

Great place for a quick stop and bite to eat. Must have a malasada aka Portuguese donut. Good plate lunches, bread and the gift shop and grounds are nice to stroll thru. Good pit stop!
Don’t miss a stop at the bake shop for malasadas! Really yummy. Its on the way to the Black Sand Beach, Volcano Winery, Hawaii Volcanos National Park (closed during our visit) and Hilo. We each selected a few malasadas and then sat at a table...More
The todays special plate (Cha siu pork) is really bad. The rice is dry. It's the same for the baked fish. This place is not recommended for eating properly.More
