We dined on Ono fish wraps with fresh veggies and a side of guacamole and chips. Veggies and fruit, fresh from the farm. Enjoyed sitting outside on picnic table.

Vegetables are not my thing, so this was a stretch to stop here for lunch. However, the avocado wrap was amazingly tasty. They use homegrown avocados on the wrap and homegrown mangoes as a side. Really, really good. Then come the smoothies,  oh yum. I had a lava something with strawberries and bananas. What could go wrong. Only that it... More

We stopped at this little walk-up window smoothie shack on our way back to Hilo from Waipi'o Valley lookout, and on the 4 mile scenic drive (Old Mamalahoa highway). They had a lot of fresh fruit for sale and the smoothie and food selection was great. I got a Daily special of the fish wrap, sesame slaw salad and fruit... More

My guidebook recommended stopping here and I am so glad we did! The food was delicious and so fresh, and the smoothies were amazing. My husband and I were so stuffed when we left!

Fantastic lunch spot on the scenic drive north of Hilo. Made to order smooothies and sandwiches with ingredients literally pulled off the trees behind the little shack/restaurant. Highly recommend a stop here either for a quick healthy snack or for lunch. We got a fresh coconut, a smoothie, veggie burger special and chicken tamale. All really good.

The smoothies are delicious, even a little bit on the pricier side. The staff has some troubles with preparing the food if there are more than 10 people. We had to wait 15 minutes for our four smoothies.

Found What's Shakin on our drive along the Eastern Coast of Hawaii. Great food! Avacados growing out back. We ordered a fish wrap and chicken nachos. Very fresh and fantastic.

We stopped here for lunch while touring that section of the island and enjoyed a healthy lunch (not always easy to find while on vacation). The ingredients were very fresh. I wouldn't say the flavours were over-the-top special, but I would eat there again. We thought the food was likely over-priced, but that's what you get usually in a touristy... More

2 Girls working were as nice as you'll find. Menu was unique, healthy, and had something for everyone. We had a fish wrap, hot dog, and smoothie. All fresh and delicious while being eaten overlooking a beautiful piece of America. If i was a local id be a regular.

We drove to the east side of the Island to see the Akena Falls and stopped at "What's Shakin" for a light lunch afterwards. It was better than the Falls. The sandwiches are huge and made with fresh ingredients. I had a smoothie with a number of different fruits and it was delicious. It is not a main road so... More
