When one arrives you may notice a German flag on the exterior and then some German influence on the menu. There was a selection that included game and bratwurst that were delicious, and of course there's an offering of traditional restaurant fare. In addition to the outstanding service, there is a fun selection of cocktails incorporating local Hawaiian fruits. Should... More

Had reservations for myself and am glad I did with it being just minutes from the entrance of VNP. Hostess had the table ready for me and was seated promptly upon arriving. Ordered a fantastic margarita on the rocks with lilikoi salt and had the rack of lamb. Fruit cobbler at the end was the kicker and really hit the... More

Very cozy restaurant with great food. We enjoyed everything from the drinks to dessert and are glad we chose the Lodge for dinner over the Volcano House (where we had lunch that same day). It has a lot of character and the service was just excellent.

we stayed nearby in an airbnb and had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. "old style" restaurant with wood fireplace, nice, classic service, great food and reasonably priced. Not fancy but just good.

I was a bit hesitant to try this place since it is described a former YMCA camp built in 1938. With a description like that, one just doesn't know what to expect. However, the restaurant is in a wonderful setting that indeed is a most pleasant throwback to another era. We enjoyed a most relaxing and formal breakfast which included... More

Every aspect of dinner was exceptional from the service to every course we chose. Wine was crisp and chilled, dinner was served immediately from the chef. It was indeed a highlight of our stay in Hawaii.

It's a very cosy restaurant which acts as a nice shelter from the hot weather outside ( we had visited Volcano in summer). The lunch was delicious and the service quite good. Its close enough to the Volcano park to offer a good alternative to the Volcano House restaurant, if one wants a variety of options after a tiring trek.

Description
Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant, located in the quiet village of Volcano, sits on 5 acres of gardens and gazebos and native forest. This hotel restaurant features a large fireplace, local art, koa tables, and is open nightly. Chef/owner Albert Jeyte blends flavors from his European background with farm, ranch and seafood products from Hawaii, the surrounding Pacific and elsewhere.

Volcano Village is at 3700 feet elevation and evenings are often cool and misty. The historic fireplace welcomes guests with it's cheery fire. Home made soups and breads tease the appetite. Albert specializes in unusual game...venison, antelope, rabbit, duck. The biggest sellers are local fish dishes; ahi, ono, mahimahi and the exotic Tristan lobster. A large wine list complements the eclectic menu.
