I just had a really good dinner here. The restaurant is very nice and the food and service are very good. However, the menu is somewhat limited, and most of the menu items are really expensive, even by Japanese restaurant standards. It was a good experience overall, but there are probably cheaper options around.

Definite pass given price tag about 100 to 125$ per head. We booked a month in advance but not Tokyo restaurant or even Benihana quality. Imari focuses on quantity not quality. Very much an assembly line. Made reservations at 6:45 were seated at 7:30. Restaurant and whole hotel is in serious need of an update.

We celebrated my son's first birthday with dinner at Imari. The food is very good and the chefs are entertaining and friendly.

This restaurant is inside the Hilton Hotel in Waikoloa Village on the Big Island. The restaurant was a hibachi style dining which we were looking forward to enjoying. However, the food was overpriced and the service was not too much to brag about. We had an excellent cook, who cooked everything to perfection, but this restaurant is not a place... More

My husband was so excited to eat here! Food was less than average. Sushi was grocery store deli sushi. Fish was not fresh. I had the special and it was average. Not worth the time and money!

We went twice. The first was for Tapanyaki, which was decent food but very overpriced. The chef seemed uninterested and didn't bother to entertain as is usual with teppanyaki restaurants. The atmosphere was very zen, with a Japanese garden outside and Japanese type music playing quietly. We decided to try it again a few days later, but chose from the... More

One of the nicest sashimi meals I've had. From the Agedashi Tofu starter, the nicely dry chilled Tamanohikari Sake, the unagi nigiri sushi and the wonderfully subtle tastes and textures of the sashimi meal. You could not ask for more.

Overpriced and overrated. Main course served while still eating starter. Other main course of Sashimi was barely adequate and the Ikura was tasteless. Not a dining experience and more in keeping with a fast food experience at 20 times the price.

This restaurant is promoted as fine dining and suggested to require reservations. We ate there during the 'busy' hour and the place was about half full. I think they badly need a new sushi chef. We got better prepared sushi and sashimi at the nearby Island Gourmet ABC store. Definitely not worth the price! Service was pretty Ho-Hum, also.

Although the food and cost was appropriate, the menu was a bit limited. Overall, the only concern is the cost - not sure what is considered so special to drive the price.
