You must brace yourself before you walk in here. This little room is not for the undecided or easily intimidated. I ordered for the rest of my family while they waited outside, and I'll admit to being a little terrified when the guy making my husband's plate lunch stumped me with a question about lau lau. The plate-lunch menu is... More

Think we've found it at the fish market. Stopped in after day at beach. Wife had avocado, I had spicy. Both were best we've found in Kauai. Believe it: a market not restaurant but poke is da bomb!

When I'm in the Koloa area around lunchtime, nothing beats an ahi poke bowl from the Fish Market. Fresh ahi cut up on top of a bed of rice, with furakake, wasabi sauce, and hawaiian salt. A larger portion than most people can eat for lunch, and only about $7. Ono!

Whole family visited to get lunch to go...you have to take it to go. They had 2 special plate lunches for the day which we got (love their macaroni salad!) And we got a poke bowl. We were told it is the best poke in the area. We are not poke experts but it was really good! Very friendly staff.... More

Good selection, very high prices for fish you can get pretty much at any grocery store in ATL (Mahi Mahi), not terribly expensive for local caught tropical fish. Law of averages, I guess. We did not try their take out, but wish we had instead of Sueoka's...

This place is amazing for lunch. Love the plate lunch with double greens. It's always consistent. Mango bread is good too!

This is a small and unassuming place in the town of Koloa. When you walk in, you are immediately greeted by a deli case full of Ahi Poke and other options. They move a lot of product, so they are constantly re-stocking. In other words, the selection is very fresh. This has to be one of the best Poke I... More

A small shop that offers poke, fresh fish and plates. Fish selections are limited - because, well it's fresh. If it wasn't caught nearby, you won't find it there. So Ahi, Ono, Marlin, etc. and all very nice. Note: Cash only! Stop at an ATM before you go.

They do not have any tables here, so I have to grab the food and beverage back to the hotel. But the poke is delicious and I really like their sweet potato cake. Unique.

My wife and I come to Kauai at least twice a year and stay in Poipu area, Koloa Fish market is our frequent 'go to' for fresh fish and poke. Remember to bring cash. No credit cards accepted. The market is very small and short waits are the norm. If you are making you own fish get their wasabi cream... More
