During my first visit to Kauai, my local hosts raved about Tip Top's food, especially their pancakes (and coconut syrup), and oxtail soup. My breakfast experience was Great!. The portions were huge, the pancake was wonderful (although the coconut syrup was not available) and the...More

We followed the reviews and they were spot on. This was the best breakfast we had. The place was full of "locals" so you know you've found the right place. The banana/Mac nut pancakes were the very best! My husband had pineapple and loved them...More

My favorite breakfast place to eat. It's always busy but it's worth it. The food is always consistent and prices are reasonable. My favorite is the grand slam and fried rice. Waiters are nice and friendly.

Best loco moco we've ever had. We even went back to have it again and we're not big meat eaters. Very good ox tail soup and good servers. I think anyone who enjoys a diner experience would like this place and maybe even love it!

Tried breakfast here while staying at Tip Top Motel. Staff was very friendly and helpful when ordering. You must try the pancakes, especially the ones with banana in them. My wife said her omelette was very good. Portions are mainland sized. They also seem to...More

I had read some reviews and articles that mentioned this was a good breakfast place. I was not disappointed. Once inside it is actually quite large. We ordered the banana macadamia pancakes. They are quite good and filling. Service was great too. Only issue here...More

Our parents treated us to this little gem. They have celebrated their 100th year in business. I ordered the pancakes with bananas, pineapple and macadamia nuts. My hubby orders the Spanish omelet with hashbrowns. The service was quick, the food was delicious and filling. They...More

I enjoy places that are where the locals go if they have reliably good relatively inexpensive food. Tip Top is that. Their corn beef potato patties and macadamia breakfast pancakes are delicious. For lunch, the ox tail soup is the best on Kauai and the...More

This place looks kind of sketchy, but don’t be put off. We were hesitant when we first came here but it recommended in our guidebook, and despite its rough appearance, it was busy and filled with locals which was a good sign. We tried this...More

The cafe is part of a small motel, so we expected to see lots of tourists for breakfast. Not so, it was mostly locals - and mostly families. The breakfast bento has a lot of meat - steak, corn beef hash, sausage etc... but was...More

They're open from 6:30 to about 2pm for there's always a line but they're pretty fast.

I know they do a lot of stuff with macadamia nuts. You might want to call them directly to ask.

There are fruit plates, lots of rice dishes, they are a small bakery too, I believe. I'd call them and ask. The staff seemed very knowledgeable about what was in different dishes.
