Uh huh! Classic local-style family restaurant with all the island variety you could ever wish for. I drooled enviously over every heaping plate or bowl wheeled by our table, waiting for our fantastic roasted pork and Saimin dishes to arrive. What a crime we couldn't...More

We have been to Kauai several times, this was our first time to visit Tip Top. We had eggs and pancakes, everything was really good. Prices were reasonable. We will be back !

If you want to know where the locals eat breakfast, Tip Top is the place. They make the lightest macadamia nut pancakes I have ever eaten. Anything from spam to loco moco is on this menu. You can see why so many locals come here....More

We had pancakes, French toast, hash browns and bacon. All were good and homemade. Was convenient and a short drive from the airport.

The "ambiance" is the telltale sign of the line out the door! It's worth the wait. A local & tourist favorite!

Tiptop has a good selection of local eats, my personal favorite is the oxtail soup. They serve good sushi as well.

We had lunch one day and breakfast on another day, the food was good and the price was also good. It is a medium sized restaurant as part of a hotel, the service was very good (as usual in Kauai).

While visiting Kauai, we tried this restaurant recommended by locals. Had LocoMoco, Oxtail Soup and Fried Chicken. Rated Oxtail 5 stars. Expected to have some fat BUT this dish has no fat at all! Even regular size one has a lot of Oxtail pieces. It...More

We had breakfast here before flying out of Lihue. This is a 100-yr old cafe favoured by locals and it provides all you could want -- great service, menu with many local and traditional foods, and very reasonable prices. We enjoyed our meal very much...More

They're open from 6:30 to about 2pm for there's always a line but they're pretty fast.

I know they do a lot of stuff with macadamia nuts. You might want to call them directly to ask.
