Highly recommend: excellent food, atmosphere, service. Very large portions at fair price. Favorite restaurant in Poipu area.

We made reservations through open table for 7:30 and had a Moscow Mule at the bar before being seated. One of our friends had recommended this restaurant in suggested we sit on the Lanai . Our server found a very nice table. My wife has the lau lau (sp?) Seafood dish and I had grilled fish on a bed of... More
Nice evening. It was easy to walk to from our condo in Kiahuna Plantation. It started off good, when they were ready to seat us as soon as we arrive. Waitress was very friendly and attentive for the whole evening. Cocktails were different -- some in our party liked theirs, others not so wild. Food was good.
It really felt like this was a corporate restaurant. Food attempted to be inspired (nice descriptions) but just fell short. Fish was dry and overcooked. Waiter looked like he was overworked (sweating, untucked shirt--he was the only one.). Having said that, the setting was beautiful. For a mediocre meal in a pleasant setting, can't go wrong. Just set your expectations.
Walking distance from Sheraton kauai. Had the crusted moncheong. Was a little dry but tasty. Hubby had the sashimi- said it was the best he had so far. Kids has the angus Burger- amazing with crispy fries. Service was good.
Plantation Gardens Restaurant was our choice for Christmas dinner and what a great choice it was in many levels! The restaurant, located in an old sugarcane plantation home, is accessed through beautiful gardens, full of koi pools and Hawaiian plants. The decor inside was that of the "old days". We chose to eat outside where we could see the gardens... More
Beautiful place. Old plantation house and we dined on the outdoor deck. Food and service was great. Not super expensive but still expensive like most nice restuarants in Kauai. We were staying at the Kiahuna Plantation Resort so a short walk through the property.
The Plantation Garden must have been spectacular when it was a family home!! The home & garden are wonderful! Take time to stroll the garden before dinner. The food was good but not gourmet. The sweet potato rolls were the best! Umbrella drinks had very little alcohol in them--don't bother.
