Great way to start our Maui visit. Shared a plate of fresh papaya—-amazing. Everyone had something different and all was yummy. Coffee also good. Strong but not as intense as Starbucks. Staff very attentive. Local people also here. Went back hoping to have dinner, however...the hours were not as listed on whatever info source we used. Best food all week.More

Wonderfully friendly staff, great food choices. We enjoyed breakfast so much we came back again, and we were staying in Kihei so it wasn't exactly close by. Super friendly staff; one of the young guys gave us tips on places to visit, and when we...returned he remembered and asked how everything was going. Very casual, like your neighborhood diner or cafe. Lots of choices of food. Definitely 2 thumbs up.More

Went here after a whale watch cruise and got there 30 minutes before 12pm happy hour. Before the cruise we walked over to look at the menu posted outside and very pleasantly surprised at the Filipino offerings since my wife is Filipino. She said it...was as authentic as back home so I asked our server if they had a Filipino in the kitchen and she laughed and said the entire staff was FilipinoMore

My wife and I visited Maui a few weeks before the pandemic hit the Islands. We stayed at Maui Seaside Hotel which is next door to Tante’s Island Cuisine. We had breakfast the last morning of our stay. We shared the crab cakes and avocado...eggs Benedict and French toast. Our breakfast was delicious. Tante’s has an extensive Filipino menu. I saw one lady at a nearby table with a whole fried fish for breakfast that looked really good. I wish we had tried Tante’s earlier in our visit to try their dinner menu items.More

Food okay, not great. Service was okay. A quick lunch took 1.5 hours and we did not order anything special. Food does not come out in order it is ordered. Multiple tables around us were seated after us and were able to eat and leave...while we were there. Mai Tai was the worst I had on the island. Overall, not a great experience.More

On our annual visits to Maui Tantes Island Resto continues to be our numero uno favorite place for a fun island meal. The tasty offerings are a combo of Hawaiian and Filipino favorites. Staffers are always ready with a friendly "Aloha" greeting as diners walk...in. Tantes is THE PLACE for the very best "Koko Loko Moko Concoction". Even the "Half Order will fill you with delight. After your meal recommend taking a stroll thru the lush green grounds of the picturesque adjoining, low rise hotel and enjoy the ocean and beach views.BBMore

If you eat meat, I don't see why not? They have a wide variety of foods served. For breakfast, absolutely, since they serve poke and eggs plus avocado, etc. Without knowing what meal you are seeking, it's hard to know, but... More
