Prepare to wait in a long line because of Covid related staffing issues. We waited one hour to place our order on a Wednesday evening in January . Only had one gal taking all orders (in person and on phone) who also was the bartender....She was doing her best but line was slow moving. The food was very good and came out relatively fast once ordered. I had mahi mahi and boyfriend had ono. I ordered onion rings and I would skip those next time- just OK. Fish was very fresh and cooked as ordered- tasted great. Loved the adjacent shopping area too.More

Load up the family’s and head over to this counter service spot for some very decent seafood at a reasonable (for Hawaii) price. It’s busy as can be, so I recommend going for an early dinner when the line isn’t 30 people deep. I had...the ono sautéed and it was decent, my husband had the ono blackened and it was much better. Good sides also.More

We picked up dinner as take out. Food was excellent. I had blackened Mahi Mahi and it was my best meal of our trip. We ordered on line and picked up and food was ready quickly and everyone really loved their meal.

Definitely worth the wait. The food is incredible. We had the fish fajita and tuna. It was amazing. The queue took a while. Trick is to be there before 6pm. Make sure you go!

This place has been swamped with customers both times we have gone and I know why. Staff never stop, and customers are number 1 on their priority list. The food is amazing, the fish fresh and seasoned perfectly and the serving size is sure to...fill you up after a day in the sun hiking, swimming, etc.. Outdoor seating only, but covered parts as well. My new favorite is blackened Ono, and they serve the best coleslaw I have ever eaten.More

Family of 5 for dinner. The line is long but it moves fast. As like most restaurants we have been to in Maui, you pay first then find a table. Food was served fast. Price of the food were affordable. We had fresh catch plate,...fish and chips, fried calamari and shrimp taco. The fish and chips and fried calamari were not served in the traditional way. The Mahi-Mahi Blackened Style and Shrimp Taco were delicious.More

My husband loved the fish tacos, and I was pleasantly surprised as a vegetarian to find a few options on the menu! The quesadilla was awesome and the portion sizes were generous. Great seaside view too!

The food was underwhelming despite great reviews online. You order up front and then the food is brought to you. The fish and chips were not well flavored, fries and rice were fine. The tacos looked great but lacked good seasoning (even salt and pepper)....Sadly, the best thing was the chowder which was typical of chowder you expect.More

There is always a line outside the door at this fabulous restaurant, but don't let that deter you. The line moves quickly and the food is phenomenal! Definitely need to try this place!

An unexpected free night for dinner led us to try Paia Fish Market, which had been on my radar for places to eat at on Maui. We got to the restaurant around 6:45PM and joined the well moving line to wait to get to the...counter to order. Once you've ordered, you find a seat and your order is run out to you. They stagger the number of orders they take to give the kitchen enough time to get their orders out and for the person taking orders to make drinks as well (not to mention all the takeout orders they have to get out too). Our wait was about 20 minutes, which wasn't bad, given the number of people on line. I ordered the sauteed Ono fresh catch plate with Cajun rice, a side of onion rings, alongside a Maui Brewing Company microbrew. My partner, who's vegetarian had the Veggie Quesadilla dinner platter. He noted that the quesadilla contained rice in it, which made it feel more like a burrito that was folded in half. The ono tasted delicious with the butter garlic, lemon sauce soaking into the rice. The onion rings were also perfectly fried. All in all, a delicious place to get fresh seafood.More
