This is an OLD, never upgraded since the 1940s, and the rooms all have TERMITES THAT SWARM IN THE ROOM. The owners would not do anything for us. We had pre-paid and now will contest this bill. DON'T STAY THERE! Even 2 of their employees told us this happens all the time.

We stopped here 18 years ago on our honeymoon and never forgot it. This year we were fortunate enough to be back on Maui and made the trip to Haleakala summit and to Kula Lodge to experience it again. The food was great, as we remember it, but I had forgotten how amazing the sunset view across Maui was! It... More

If you go to view the Haleakala volcano sunrise, you must stop in here afterwards for breakfast. We enjoyed the macadamian nuts and banana pancakes. 3 of them are very filling! The views are spectacular.

The place had a BEAUTIFUL view of the island, and our service was exceptional (thanks Travis). We sat inside, but the outside eating areas were fantastic! The grounds are planted with all kinds of flowers and plants. It was like paying to eat lunch and getting free admission to the botanical gardens! This restaurant was a bit pricey for us... More

My husband and I were heading down the volcano and spotted this restaurant. The food was wonderful and we enjoyed the quaint, romantic setting.

While visiting Maui we decided to take a day and visit the Haleakala Crater. On our drive up the mountain, we stopped for lunch at the Kula Lodge. Upon arriving we were promptly seated at a table with stunning views of the ocean, valley and restaurant gardens. Our waitress arrived in a timely fashion, engaged in friendly conversation, and took... More

Needed a meal after visiting the Haleakala Volcano and just stopped here on the way back to Ka'anapali Beach area. First, the view from 2000 ft elevation is fantastic --- we could see the west side ocean, and the valley area of Maui. The food was excellent, reasonable priced. Nice selection of draft and bottle beers.

In past years we have enjoyed stopping here for breakfast or lunch while touring the highlands or going to the nearby Botanical Gardens. In good weather the view from the Lodge is quite pleasant and their own gardens are very nice. On this occasion we were too late for the full breakfast menu and were left with a choice of... More
