These have to be the best donuts I have tasted in my life. The custard in the filled donuts is so awesome! I am so bummed that I am now gluten-free (not by choice) and their baked goods are now off limits. This is really a tragedy.

We were so excited to see that T Komoda was open when we came. It was closed for renovations I think. Very, very old building. I felt we stepped back in time. The donuts were, on the other hand, very fresh! I love that this place has been baking donuts for generations! Its a must do!

Get there early! People stand in line each day waiting for this bakery to open. Try the guava malasadas, donuts on a stick, butter rolls, AMAZING cake for New Years!

This is a great stop for wonderful bakery goods. Stick donuts, cream puffs, fresh rolls and breads, and such a variety of goodness! It's a piece of Maui history that is also a yummy treat. Enjoy!

Stopped by for some pastries after seeing the sunrise at Haleakala. I'd heard the Stick Donuts & Guava Maladadas were good & its true. The donuts are wonderful, but my favorite was the Maladadas...square puffs of donut with a thick guava filling. Delicious!

I want to put in a plug for Komodo since I've been buying pastries there for over 35 years. Sure it's an old building, it wasn't built to attract tourist. Sure the ladies behind the counter don't have big smiles and greeting for all customers, they're very busy explaining what's inside the pastries to every newcomer walking in. They're very... More

I read about this store in TA. From outside it's absolutely unspectacular, from inside it looks like a store from 70 years ago. The bread must be excellent as people line up in the morning. If you come in the afternoon no one is there. Worth to have look

We went to Komoda Bakery mid week and the shop was empty. Customer service does not exist. We wanted to ask some questions about the variety of what they carried and were made to feel as if we were either stupid or intruding. The donuts on a stick were good, but not worth the drive off the beaten track. We... More

The bakery was recommended to us by a tour guide on our bike tour, and we are so happy he recommended it! The doughnuts on a stick were good but the cream filled were out of this world! If you are near the area come check this place out!

You can't pass this place up. Donuts on a stick and cream puffs are the best ever. Go early very popular place.
