I wouldn't recommend this place. The food is okay, nothing special for the price. Too expensive and the service is not that good. They used to be good, I don't know what happened. Maybe new management... Go to their Honolulu restaurant. It's a lot better!

One of the few remaining old school local Japanese restaurants, the other being Gyotaku. Many "aunties" have been working decades here, dressed in their classic yukatas and graciously making you feel at home. Their teishoku dishes offer generous portions at reasonable prices, inclusive of miso...More

I have seen "Setsuko" start years ago at Kabuki. She was a nervous, scared and "bumbling waitress ". Over the years, I have watched her progress into an Awesome waitress. It's been so long since we had lunch at Kabuki Restaurant and Delicatessen. We adopted...More

Food is very fresh and tasty. Especially like the corn beef hash patty, sushi, butterfish, gobo, and chow fun. Best on the island chow fun.

The food here could be better. I ordered the teriyaki salmon and it had no taste. The prices are a little steep. I would recommend the Kabuki in town. Honolulu location on Kapiolani. Food taste better but steep prices. The shrimp tempura is good. The...More

It is definitely a mom and pop joint that caters mostly to locals. The atmosphere inside is cozy. Teishoku is similar to a Bento, but more food. Some greens, tempura fried veggies and shrimp, sashimi or oden, and the main choice. The main choice can...More

Kabuki is mostly frequented by local residents who enjoy ample Japanese home cooked style meals. The restaurant is nothing fancy, but the food is ample and tasty. The atmosphere is that of family dining, and some of the furniture could use refurbishing. Try their fried...More

A real okazuya that opens early and closes early, sometimes, when sold out. Bentos are a great value, with a hefty lot of food; there are 2 choices. My favorite has kimpira (gobo), shrimp tempura, spam, teri beef, on a bed of rice. Two can...More

Since all the construction for the rail has begun in the area, the hours have changed. Best thing to do is to call before you head down.
