We stopped in after a long day at Waimea beach and north shore surf watching. Waitress who was also general manager could not have been more amazing. Offered great choices and we took them! We had been at Nobu in Honolulu the night before, and Banzai was far superior in quality, selection and service and price! My new favorite restaurant... More

Went here last night and was so incredibly impressed. The sushi was fantastic and absolutely melted in your mouth. We also had a sushimi plate and the fish was so tasty, particularly the scallop that had such a beautiful buttery texture. To top it off they also have a wide range of saki to choose from.

After our surfing lesson at a nearby beach, we were quite hungry. We found this place by Googling it. We ordered the Mixed Vegetable Tempura appetizer ($15), Rainbow Roll ($15), and Seafood Salad ($24). My husband also ordered a Sake. He enjoyed his drink. The Sushi roll was a bit on the small side. Everything was tasty, but I was... More

I've eaten better sushi and thought it was ok. Certainly not the worse but not the best either. Price is ridiculously crazy for sushi but I guess if you're located in a tourist spot you have to make money somehow. Server was nice though.

I know that rents are rising for restaurants in Haleiwa, maybe that explains the high prices. They seemed much higher this year than last. And the quantity seemed smaller. If you are prepared for the price, the quality is very good. Our Kobe gyoza was tender and succulent. The red dragon roll was delicious. The Ahi Carpaccio was both a... More

Stopped in for a late lunch after hiking out to Kaena Point. We were sweaty, happily exercised, hungry and thirsty. Gracious greeting and offered choice of zashiki or chair seating outside. Beverages were terrific...both the blood orange and the sjiso leaf cocktails were great. A unique use of shiso! We had the ahi poke, ceviche (striped marlin), and two rolls.... More

This was my first time at a sushi bar. It was so cool. You could sit a little tables if you want to get a cool experience . They have regular tables too. The food was excellent. I highly recommend this place! Will definitely go back.

Banzai Pipeline is an excellent sushi bar, located in the town of Haleiwa and not too far from the North Shore beaches, tucked away in a shopping center in the south of town. The sushi and poke here is excellent, great flavors and fresh fish. The poke sampler comes recommended as a starter- a mix of standard shoyu ahi poke,... More

Voted one of Oahu's best by Honolulu Star Advertiser four consecutive years, BANZAI Sushi Bar is truly one of Haleiwa's best kept secrets. Tucked away in a back corner of the North Shore Marketplace, casual fine dinning, outdoor covered seating with Japanese-style seating on Zabuton pillows or conventional tables, diners relax all while watching surf videos and enjoy live local musicians on the weekend. BANZAI uses local organic produce when ever possible and has their very own Hawaiian fish buyer who presents himself on a daily basis at the worlds largest Tuna fish auction here in Honolulu allowing them to serve the freshest fish almost immediately. With one of Hawaii's best Sake selections, any sushi lover and sake connoisseur will be in pure nirvana. Dont miss BANZAI Sushi Bar on your next visit to Oahu's North Shore in Historic Haleiwa Town.
