This is a great place to eat great sea food at low price. The mussels I took was really big. Good quality!

We dropped into the Marketplace & Ferry Building for a quick walk-thru and decided to have lunch here at the San Francisco Fish Company. They offer both fresh fish filet-es to take home or have them cook up and eat there. They also offer fresh...shelled oysters. Can be very busy at lunch time with locals and tourists. Be prepared to wait awhile for your food. Counter pick-up of your order. BOTTOM LINE: We ordered up fish & chip platters and were very pleased at the quality and taste. The wait was a little longer than expected. Seating here is tight & very minimal with seating in high back chairs. They do offer many sandwiches also. I thought the food was very tasty and good in their portions. We would eat here again. MY RATING: 7/10.More

One of the great staples of SF cuisine is the fresh seafood and this place is no different. SF Fish company is home to some great treats, most notably the crab cake sandwich, which is reasonably priced for how delicious and fresh it is.

It is ideal for lunch on the go. I had California poke sushi and soup of the day. Both are delicious and very reasonably priced. I had a ferry to catch so it is perfect and everything just hit the spot. Will stop by when...I am in the area again. The cashier is friendly and efficient. The select photo feature is not working today. Otherwise I would add couple pictures of the lunch I hadMore

after perusing all the great looking options in the Ferry Building, we chose SF Fish Co for lunch. it was quite busy-but not as much as some other spots-but once my wife saw shrimp po-boy we ht the line. quick, friendly service and offered and...opportunity to taste the gumbo to check the spice level. minimal seating. all the fresh fish in the retail case looked perfect. many folks buying fresh to take home. menu had wide range of options-fried and not fried-including soups, sandwiches, and plates. wife chose the previously mentioned po-boy. it hit all the right notes for her. crusty, but soft roll, fresh veggies, and lightly battered fried shrimp. many times fried shrimp will have much too heavy breading and overpower the shrimp but not here. and they appeared to have been fried for the order, not done ahead and held. really good texture. and the sauce added nice addition to the flavor profile. big winner. i love ceviche so when i saw it in the case here i had to go for it. sold by the pound. i can eat a lot of it but chose a small container and added a crab quesadilla to go with. the ceviche was delicious! fresh, bright, crunchy, slightly picant, just what you want in a ceviche. BUT, i believe this was not a traditional ceviche in that the shrimp were already cooked before mixing with the other ingredients, rather than "cooked" by the citric acid in the lime juice. do not know this as fact but flavors and texture led me to this conclusion. delicious nonetheless. interestingly not served with tortilla chips which has been my past experience. my crab quesadilla was a bit of a miss. plenty of crab unfortunately a bit lost in the cheese and fat mixture. also tortilla did not arrive crisped and sturdy as one would expect from a quesadilla. in fact, it was quite limp and really not that warm. would be a much better dish if was left in the pan long enough to solve this problem. the ceviche set on a bite of the quesadilla was a tasty combo. lot's to enjoy here and i would return and recommend.More

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience eating here. My hubs got the shrimp po’ boy sandwich -$15, on a fresh bread roll w lots of shrimp and very tasty! I ordered the fish tacos, $14 - and the seasonings didn’t do it for me. I asked...them if I could exchange it for something else and the owner was extremely gracious and they gave me an oyster po’ boy after that, which was awesome! Great coleslaw, too! Thanks you SFFC! ☺️More

My wife and I decided to stop here for lunch after perusing menus in the entire Ferry Building. Good Choice! I had a soft-shell crab po-boy which was a nice large size, done just right and quite tasty, along with a nice side of cole...slaw. I also enjoyed a Scrimshaw draft beer. My wife had their fish tacos, quite a nice size serving and tasty. And she stole a few sips of my beer. We were there just before noon and snagged a couple seats at a high top. We saw many customers were doing carryout, and be aware that seating is limited.More
