My wife and I enjoyed Pat's on consecutive mornings earlier this month. Many menu choices. Hearty portions and healthy options available. Pat's Omelette is especially delicious.

Good food in a fun location. REcommend for unusual breakfast items but good ones. Is close to the start of the cable car line. Would definitely return. Great welcoming staff.

We found this cafe on Tripadvisor and it was only 2 minutes from our hotel. Wonderful breakfast at reasonable prices. The service is great and the atmosphere very cosy.

We picked a winner with Pat’s Café. It was within easy walking distance of our hotel. Pat’s serves up healthy, hearty, home-style, American food for breakfast. We were welcomed and seated immediately. The restaurant is really eclectic with brightly colored walls and art work. Yaruu, our server, took excellent care of us. Before you could blink an eye, the restaurant... More

We found this cafe on our first day in San Fran. What a find! We returned here every day on our 5 day trip for breakfast. It is great value, with a huge choice. It is always busy, and I think that speaks for itself. Food was delicious, no matter what I ordered! Thank you Pat's Cafe for serving us... More

The reviews for Pats are accurate. I like my eggs well done and they were perfect. Food not spicy, which is how I like it. Pats is a good way to start the day.

Visited Pat's Cafe twice while visiting San Francisco, as we were lucky enough to be only a few mins walk away. Great food, great menu choices and excellent service. Perfect start to the day, highly recommended by us all.

I had seen good reviews of Pat's Cafe in a travel book and eventually found it half by accident after getting on the wrong cable car. It's in a quiet street not far from Washington Square. Had my most enjoyable vegetarian meal of my trip, a spinach, broccoli and feta omelette with small roast potatoes, recommended by David the waiter,... More

Charming neighborhood restaurant serving AWESOME American style cooking. We are located on Taylor Street, the Mason Taylor Cable Car rolls down Taylor Street where it turns around and goes back to Union Square. Check out our web site www.PatsCafe.Com, also check our reviews on Trip Advisor and Yelp - they like us. Every evening we have a dinner special.

Staying in North Beach / Telegraph Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian ristorante come together to create the charming neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in the city exude as much European charm and style. Peruse a bookstore for the literature of Kerouac, Ferlinghetti and Ginsberg, grab some gelato and head to Washington Square for a perfect afternoon of people watching. Just east of North Beach, the hills and staircases of Telegraph Hill are a unique delight. At its peak, the art deco Coit Tower provides sweeping panoramic views of the bay and city. The beautifully landscaped Filbert Street Steps, a street too steep for a roadway, rewards those willing to hike uphill. Keep your ears open and you might even hear the squawk of the wild parrots who call this neighbourhood home.
