I stumbled on this Italian bakery when visiting La Taqueria burrito place in the Mission and had to try its almond torte, one of my favorite pastries. They sold them by the slice too, but I had to get the whole torte (not bad at just under $19). I was concerned whether it would be fresh, as there were 6... More

This place has been around as long as I can remember. I always go ther for three things- th St Honore cake is unbelievable, the almond torte is also, and have been sent there by my better half for cookie assortment. Great service, and almond torte with coffee is a fantastic breakfast(as long as you are not worried by sugar/calories).... More

Cookies and cakes- Italian Cookies and cakes! Everything we tried was outstanding. Had lunch next door and notched this old school Italian bakery and had to try it. If I lived nearby I'd have an issue.. For now it's just a "treat".

Ordered a St Honore cake for a dinner party Fri evening. When the cake was served it was frozen in the center! Italian creame was dull looking and not creamy. I have ordered this cake here many times before, but this one as terrible. If you are familiar with these cakes you know that they are not cheap. Very disappointed.... More

Waited in line for 10 minutes to get to the counter of this authentic Italian bakery, but it was worth it. The almond torte is exceptional and the decorated cakes will impress.

Bought it anyway thinking almond paste or almonds were involved !! Not the case. It was nothing special as reviews shown on Yelp. Definitely not... More

No other bakery beats their pastries! They make the best Cannoli's around and I can't even begin to describe their St. Honoree's Cakes, cookies and on. Go have a taco at La Taqueria's (the best) and walk right next door and pick up dessert from Dianda's in the Mission. I have travelled to many places in the United States and... More

I started with their bakery on Green Street...well over 20 years ago in North Beach and rediscovered them in the Mexican area of Mission Street. I go there frequently for a few of my favorite pastries that they have.....almond wreath, "old fashioned" apple turnover, ladyfinger cookies., and macaroons with pine nuts. They have a multitude of other familiar ones....favorites like... More
