I came to 5A5 for a company team dinner, and it definitely helped that someone else was picking up the tab! Appetizers: Delicious. The fois gras was a small but tasty bite, the scallops were tasty, and the poke was good. Main course: The 100%...More

First, enjoyed a $28 glass of wine. Service was slow with the waiter handing drinks and food over the customers. Enjoyed the $500 plate of Kobe beef presented at the table. What a deal! The NY sirloin steak was of the same quality as any...More

Like Kobe beef? The famous Japanese beef is out-shined by Wagyu, and the A5 grade (think USDA Prime) is the best. It's not cheap. Nothing in SF is cheap, and they have a city tax added, as well. For a special treat, try some A5...More

Had theater tickets so stopped in for a quick-ish meal in the bar. Server was nice and the drink menu is strong. We each ordered a cocktail and then looked at the menu. We ended up not eating here because the menu is dated. Truffle...More

We recently went to 5A5 to celebrate our anniversary. We had three steakhouses we were trying to choose from and picked 5A5. Ambiance Our first impression: disappointed. We knew going in that this wasn't the traditional "steakhouse" but the atmosphere was not what we are...More

A small establishment... but service excellent...and the steak I ordered was cooked to perfection...flavorful....delicious....and perfectly marinated. A bone-in rib eye. Best steak I've EVER had in my entire life...and I consider myself a gourmet connoisseur of food and wine.

Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but
can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s
version of Wall Street. The rush of business people
make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of
life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the
narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of
historic and contemporary architecture, including the
iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours,

A stylish & modern take on the traditional steakhouse, blending the ambiance of a contemporary restaurant with that of a vibrant cocktail lounge. We serve the best, top quality steaks from around the world - US Certified Angus Beef and Australian 'Kobe' and the grade A5 100% Japanese Wagyu - highest grade of beef in the world. Our menu is also very accommodating with several non-red meat options and different sized portions available. Great for an outing with friends, a business dinner, or a romantic evening on the town- 5A5 caters to those looking for outstanding food & service complemented by a fun & upbeat dining experience. 5A5 - 5 senses / the A5 experience
