The food was good, I asked for veg items. The dabha format of the restaurant may not appeal to everyone, so not a great place to take your guests for dining. Sure the prices are competitive, and BYOB and chai on the house are good features. The naan is quite huge, so best to order one at a time, and... More

Its a typical dhaba. Food tastes decent, but I recommend doing a take out since ambiance is non-existent.

This restaurant focuses on preparing tasty Indian/Pakistani food. I went there three times in the end within a week because of that, and because of its closeness to the Holiday Inn where I was staying. But I wouldn't have put a foot in there without the good reviews here: the place looks very run down, nothing to have a romantic... More

This place is phenomenal! I have been going here for years and would go every week if I lived closer. Not the post decorative place but the Chicken Tikki Masala is ADDICTING (you have been warned), the Naan is baked fresh and not too doughy or crips but just right, and they have complimentary tea PLUS BYOB with NO corking... Great little whole in the wall place that serves truly authentic pakistani food. Ignore the interior and go there for an amazing meal --must try the brain masala it is absolutely delicious! Also, the chicken karahi was one of the best we've ever eaten. Would recommend it for anyone who only cares about food and not the whole "dinning experience".

Only place to enjoy Haleem (apologized if misspelled) plus Chicken Kofta. Also butter chicken and biryani rice is good (only on Saturdays).

We were visiting San Francisco on a business trip for a week and found this restaurant close to our hotel. They served authentic food and the serving size was very good. We liked the food so much that we ate at this place throughout our stay.

Visited here for a quick lunch. It'd a basic restaurant with typical Indian menu, but they cook it so well. The tandoori and briyani were delicious. Good place to grab a good lunch.

Don't go for the ambience, or a quiet romantic supper. There's an noisy open kitchen, diner style tables, a chaotic feel to the place and not much in the way of decor, but very good food. The place was packed when we arrived, all local families having their supper. We took that as a good sign and paired up with... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
