Got to meet the owner and we trusted him with our meal. It was delish - a vegetable and chicken mix. Tight tables in front of the window make it hard for private conversations but other than that I would be back again!

I have been to Fang several times. Quite good food. Their version of wonton soup is awesome! The chewy texture of the dough combined with the spicy filling makes for a satisfying meal in itself.

I had the sesame chicken and it was excellent. They could cut back on the amount of sweet potatoes. However, I would come back. Quick service and hot fresh food.

Thank you, Ray. While I'm happy our sesame chicken was to your liking, I also hear your feedback on our sweet potatoes. In any case, I appreciate your review and can't wait to welcome you in again. Sincerely, Kathy, Chef

Fang was recommended for lunch by the concierge at The Intercontinental Hotel. Our party of 4 was seated. Suddenly a man appeared and asked if we'd ever been there before. We told him no. He took our menus and walked away. We did not order....More

Read mixed reviews between here and Yelp, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Split the short rib dish and the sesame chicken with a friend and we both loved it. Highly recommend.

Definitely recommend the crispy short rib, the sesame chicken, and noodles! Service was very pleasant and quick, not too loud to have a nice conversation either! I'm thinking of going back tonight.....!

I really wanted Chinese noodles. Preferably noodles or dumplings in soup with duck or pork, but really any well prepared noodles. Feng was recommended by the concierge and had rather high reviews on several sites. A common statement was to "put yourself in Feng's hands."...More

Years ago, Mr. Peter Fang served us a delicious fish soup and very yummy steamed prawns and clams with egg custard. Do you still offer these dishes?

Yes they do!!! I agree it is yummy
Someone noted in the comments on Trip Advisor that your food is not "true" Chinese fare, that it is more Chinese/American. Is that true? Is your sister restaurant "Nanking" more of a Chinese fare?

I am not Chinese so I am not sure I can tell "true" Chinese food that one would be served in China. But I believe this is authentic as you may be able to get in that part of San Francisco!

Fang is the sister restaurant of wildly popular restaurant, House of Nanking. Fang embodies both modern and authentic Chinese cuisines in a fine dining setting serving traditional Chinese fare, dim sum, as well as "off the menu" innovative dishes for the adventurous. Chef Peter Fang believes that good-tasting food is universal and should not be bound by how dishes were made in the past. With Chef Peter’s trademark inventiveness and eye for quality, the menu evolves and changes based on seasonally fresh ingredients from the same local Chinatown markets Peter has visited for decades. For fresh seasonal Chinese food in an elegant and modern setting, visit Fang.
