The food was quite good. Salad creative and yummy. I had crab pasta good flavor but very little crab. Two of my companions had a different pasta dish with pork that was very flavorful. The pizza looked like a typical Margarita could have benefited from smaller dabs of cheese more even space on the pie. Dessert menu was intriguing but... More

I was sceptical because I am a pizza snob! When I walked in and saw the wood fired brick pizza oven, I got a bit excited...this is the ONLY way to make pizza. So...we were off to a great start. I am also a purest about pizza...I eat margarita pizza so I can taste the mozzarella and the sauce. The... More

My favorite pizza place in San Francisco. Also great atmosphere and ambience. The Margherita pizza is a must have dish!

Quite simply the best Pasta and pizza in San Francisco. Simple ingredients and fresh pasta make this place a keeper.

Prices are what you should expect in San Francisco. Quality of salads are higher than that of the pizzas though. This is not the kind of place where you can get filling meals at bargain prices. You're paying for the ambience which is good for the Soma location.

Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday with my wife. The space itself is pretty nice and we were excited to try the pizza after reading the reviews. The pizza was very good, so, the reviews are spot on for that. The service was a little slow, but I'm not sure if that was a weekend thing or not. Since... More

I was looking for Italian food but we arrived between lunch and dinner so they only had pizza. It was really good, thin crust with dough supposedly shipped from Italy. I messed up by ordering the pizza with clams. It was only ok. I had a taste of one of the others and it was very tasty. It was a... More

I ate here for lunch with my wife while on vacation in San Francisco. We arrived right around noon and were asked if we had a reservation. Looking around the restaurant, we found it to be only about 50% full but did not have a reservation. We waited about 10 minutes for a table and were seated upstairs. The restaurant... More

We visited Zero Zero for dinner during our short visit to San Francisco in September. We made a reservation online via Open Table which worked just perfectly. Upon arrival I was slightly surprised with the deco and ambiance, as it looked and sounded more like a busy bar than an Italian restaurant. We were taken to our table on the... More

Ordered Caesar salad and pizza. Pizza delivered in 5 minutes. Waited 15 minutes for salad. Food barely fit on table. It was squeeze you in, turn the table quickly and get you out the door. The best thing about the experience was the food. May be best to order takeout- wait is that what we did?

Zero Zero opened in 2010 inspired by Chef Bruce Hill's dedication to farm driven ingredients, combined with his love for wood-fired pizzas that have been nicknamed "Calipolitan". Michael Bauer of the San Francisco Chronicle named us the French Laundrry of upscale pizza, and the readers of 7x7 Magazine voted us "Best Pizza in San Francisco". In addition to pizza, our menu showcases house made pastas, a variety of market-fresh appetizers, and artisan soft serve. We also have two big time bars with a selection of seasonal house cocktails, beers, and 12 wines on tap.

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
