Tiny portions, and expensive. Especially irritating to pay $12 for about 1.5-2 oz of the cheapest wine on the menu (Tempranillo). A bit loud most of the time, and a few frat boy laughs by groups at other times. Just moved to the area and...More

Great food in a cool space. Everything from the fun atmosphere, expertly prepared cocktails, and, especially, delicious food, was terrific. Highly recommended!

Located across the street from Washington Square, this restaurant is full of ambiance. Part of a food tour....would go back for a full meal. Had wagyu beef jerky, fried Brussels sprouts, deviled eggs, and dehydrated lemons with cheese served with a fun vodka, apple, citrus...More

The peaches weren't ripe in the stone fruit salad, at the price charged they should have been. The pork belly with rice was good, the petrale with mashed peas - the flavors didn't seem to flow together.

I was last here two years ago and had a great experience. Last night, however, was different. While the atmosphere and vibe were both still great, the service was poor. I was dining alone and felt rushed by my server. Once I made it clear...More

In an area of Italian restaurants Park Tavern is an excellent alternative. Be safe and make a reservation; this place fills up fast upon opening. Get there early as it has a fantastic bar; smart, polite and efficient service. You will recognize every item on...More

We were there on a Saturday evening and we liked it. Yes, it was loud and yes it was full. But in turn you get a very vibrating restaurant with a good atmosphere. Food itself is very good as well, try the chicken which is...More

My husband joined me in SF after I had been in town on business. A colleague recommended a few places for dinner and we chose Park Tavern for what looked to be a innovative menu. We walked there from our hotel and were seated outside...More

North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.

I do not recall seeing a kids menu but I recommend that you call them because most restaurants will offer something simple for children to enjoy.

With an exciting mix of vintage fixtures, comfortable furnishings, and handsome textures, Park Tavern is an elegant spin on a North Beach neighborhood classic. Owner Anna Weinberg and designer Kendra Nicholas of Park Interiors collaborated to divide the room into unique, dedicated spaces -- the handsome marble bar, the terra cotta floored cafe with windows that open onto the patio facing Washington Park, the comfortable dining room with tufted leather banquettes, and an open kitchen with a chef’s counter. Park Tavern will showcase Chef Partner Jennifer Puccio's talents with delicious American bistro classics and emphasize seafood from a wood burning oven. From raw to fried, expect boldly flavored dishes that you'll want to eat several times a week. Serving up classic cocktails with the candor and character of an old friend, you won't find any overly fancy mixology here. But when it comes to wines, you find something for everyone!
