I love this local little Mexican food place. There is more than one location but I go to the little one on Divisadero Street. Everything is very fresh. California fresh meets Mexican flavorful. Everything is good there. Their free salsa bar has a nice selection of salsa. This is not a glamorous place. You order at a counter and the... More

Fast service. Traditional Mexican menu prepared quickly. Small but efficient staff, with seating at small picnic tables. Reasonable prices. Burritos were good. Friendly staff.

This is a friendly cafe/restaurant, offering good value Mexican food. Vegan daughter loved the burritos! Can be busy and a little loud but good ambience and friendly staff.

Whether it be a simple appetizer or a full course meal, they have your dinner waiting and ready. The food is ready tasty and service is quick. You can dine in or take out, again it is available for you. I ordered the garlic shrimp burrito and the portion was enough to fill up and satisfy a "giant". It was... More

Unbelievable Mexican food, with flexibility and plenty of choice even if it is a small restaurant with a slightly weird canteen like feel. Totally worth a trip!

My husband and I were visiting San Francisco and we were looking for some quick food as we headed back to where we were staying. We saw this restaurant on the corner and decided to pop in. We were quickly greeted as soon as we walked up to the counter. I ordered the chicken nachos and my husband got a... More

We stayed across the street @ Metro Hotel. That's a whole different review!! Fantastic hotel. Anyway, we ate at the Little Chihuahua 2 times. Loved both experiences. We're from Texas and we love Mexican food!

Their food is excellent and the dishes are huge (perfect for 2 people). I went there with my boyfriend for two days is a row and we shared enchilladas and burritos. I'm a vegetarian and was completely satisfied with the options. The price is also a plus. On the first day, we paid $21 for a dish, a beer, and... More

Wide variety of Mexican cuisine on the menu to suit everyone. Food is incredible and portions are huge!! We ordered portion of enchiladas each and nachos to share and hardly made a dent! Good value for money. Casual dining experience after a busy day exploring.

Staying in Haight-Ashbury

Neighbourhood Profile
The area surrounding the intersection of Haight and Ashbury streets, “The Haight” still exudes vibes of the 1960s counterculture as a haven for vintage clothes, music, pop posters and body piercing shops. While the Summer of Love ended decades ago, Haight-Ashbury has turned into a melting pot of hippies, hipsters, and professionals. Walking through its streets can still feel like stepping back in time. A must-see neighbourhood for most music fans, it’s easy to see why these streets attracted the likes of the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin. You’ll likely be content in The Haight day or night, just be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.
