This place is not out of this world food but if you are looking for great down to earth mexican it does the job. Every plate we ordered was good, from the guac and three sauce dips to start to the steak enchiladas and the grilled chicken. Also highly recommend the michelada. Best hangover cure in San Francisco.

We arrived into town late afternoon looking for a place for lunch. Papito was the one of a few places in Potrero Hill still open. It was our first meal in San Francisco and it did not disappoint. We were hungry so ordered the fried calamari to share. The batter was crispy and flavoured with aromatic spices. I ordered the... More

This is my favorite spot to get tacos. Every time I go I try to order something different and I've never been disappointed. The pollo empanizado quesadilla is stupid good. You should get it. The staff is great very friendly and on top of their game. However, I think they are overworked. They need to bring on an additional server... More

First time visiting. Had tacos (the small kind but filling) and chicken quesadilla that puts every quesadilla I've ever had to shame. This one was HUGE! If you go, try the trio of salsas. We had Mango, a red sauce and green sauce. Mango and red were my favorites. Staff was very pleasant and cheerful. Apparently it is quite busy... More

Sooo delicious! We had Take-Out as we were in a hurry but there were about 6 - 10 small tables including some great outside seating. My husband and I shared the "Papito" Quesadilla for lunch and it was awesome! Great Tempura shrimp - so fresh and crunchy in the Quesadilla! A great chipotle sauce and guacamole in the Quesadilla made... More

The tacos were phenomenal. I like the variety of choices and the size of the tacos. The Pastor tacos were my favorite! The price is reasonable and has a gun little local flavor.
