Got there on my last evening in San Francisco. Enjoyed a Peperoni pizza 17 USD. Nice thin, but very big and tasty.

Nice friendly staff, quiet place to eat. i only gave it one less star because i ordered a spicy pizza that wasn't spicy at all. One small jalapeno in the middle of the pizza. kind of strange IMO. i figure they would chop it up and spread it out but it wasn't. The pizza was a very mild and slightly... More

Popped in for dinner on a weeknight. Relatively small place so reservations are a good idea. Had the diavola pizza, was quite good. I wouldn't call it super authentic though - cheese was a bit American style versus Italian. Service decent.

We came to celebrate a friends birthday and had a delightful time. The place is small but so quaint. The waitress was delightful and so patient as she explained the pasta selections for us in her beautiful Italian accent. Food was delicious and great wine selection. I had Spaghetti and meatballs. Great choice. felt like I was at a friends... More

Found this terrific Italian spot while wandering through the Financial District. It may only have twelve or so tables; but it makes up for the tight space with amazing food. Poached pear salad, crab pasta and pappardelle alla Bolognese that the two of us shared did not disappoint. We also enjoyed the daily special dessert (semifreddo, I think). If you... More

This is a very small Mom & Pop joint on Kearney, near the intersection with Busch. There are some small outside tables,a JD the inside is small and cozy. Beer and wine available. Some good pastas on the menu, and great pizzas. There are daily specials as well. This is no frills, and the owners were waiting tables on the... More

This tiny restaurant only seats about 30 diners so reservations are recommended. My ravioli was nice enough but wasn’t anything special. Hubby said the same about his pizza. Unfortunately, the food was served on cold plates so went cold very quickly. Service was good and the owner was lovely. Hubby usually likes to finish an Italian meal with a liquor... More

Here with the husband for dinner and am very happy with my choice. The service is fantastic to match the ambiance of this little pizzeria. We had a tricolore salad and "Zucca Pizza" (pumpkin, almonds, sun-dried tomatoes). Being so close to Halloween and having never seen pumpkin on a pizza we figured- what the H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS. It was delicious.... More

Small, quaint Italian restaurant that is yummy! Cute couple run it. Very authentic vibe. It is very small, so don't pass it up when walking by!

From the moment you walk past this spot on Kearny Street in San Francisco, it beckons you to come inside. Only once you make a booking, or simply arrive (little bit of waiting time) - do you truly understand the authenticity, home cooked quality & friendly ambience that this little 30-40 seater restaurant offers. A definite must visit for your... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
