Lovely atmosphere, great service and above average food at fair prices. The salmon was excellent. Butterscotch pudding not as butterscotchy as it might be, but still very good. Large pours for champagne by the glass. Although it gets busy, the noise level is not annoyingly...More

Our family chose Absinthe for a late lunch before a recent performance of Hamilton. The restaurant is perfectly located for before-theatre food or drink, and it has a friendly, fun atmosphere that we always enjoy. Our group enjoyed a selection of perfectly made cocktails at...More

Absinthe is great! Great location, lively atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, and delicious food! Absinthe isn't cheap, but from what I...More

We went to Absinthe with some of my daughter's friends for dinner. It was very busy for a Tuesday night so make a reservation. The food was delicious especially the French onion soup! The service was impeccable and we had a great evening.

I lunch downtown SF pretty often for business meetings, and with one party needing a "fast getaway" to the airport, we decided to come to Hayes Valley. It was perfect location. A feel for the "upscale hipster" side of San Francisco, but still a professional...More

Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky

nope they are not! They're a medium/high end bar/restaurant with an extensive drinks/wine list, some reasonable wine prices and others off the freakin' chart expensive!!
