We sat outside on the terrace. Lots of small tapas dishes that were fantastic. The owner was there and paid special attention, this is how to ensure a great evening. Thanks!

We were all very pleased with the Basque specialties with a California twist. We asked the server for recommendations and he did a great job with every one of us. We ate a lot of very delicious food. Try one of the featured cocktails to...More

Staying with friends in SF at the end of our road trip, they had arranged for another couple to join us for Valentine's Day dinner. Piperade is a Basque themed restaurant that was founded 15 years ago and appears to be running like a well...More

Sorry, I have been since 5 years in San Sebastián, nobody would eat that food there. The old waiter was very nice, the food has much potential. The lamb was also good. The starters have been made without love? Dear Owner I know that you...More

Friday night dinner for two; nice ambiance, full restaurant but still could have a conversation. The namesake, piperade, with stewed peppers, onions, and garlic, topped with a little poached egg, was satisfyingly delicious. Twice-cooked oxtail, shredded, was tangy and spicy; the juices infused the bed...More

North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.
