I was very sad to see that Lefty O'Douls has now shut down. We went there all the time in 2009 and had talked the place up to our new travelling mate. He was shattered when we found it had closed. Such a shame!

We have been spending our Thanksgivings in San Francisco for the past 5 years and there is no better place to get a Thanksgiving meal but at Lefty O'Doul's. Good Value, Good Food, and Good Service. Remember this is a cafeteria style eatery and bar.

Excellent pub in the centre of SF - good for beer and sports plus big food portions so you better be hungry going in here - maybe just me but I found the piano player to be annoying rather than entertaining but you can always sit further away

This is one of those places that you should go to if you are a baseball fan. The Giants Dugout store is right there too. But I have to say that the food leaves a lot to be desired, especially since there are so many great places nearby.

We went for a quick dinner, which which served the purpose but remained for the ambience and the live music by a group who were great. Even went back next night for a drink and the sole musician was very good.

Staying close to Lefty's and tired due to long flight. Have eaten here before and liked it. I had a salad large enough to feed at least 2 people and my husband had a roast beef dinner all up $24. Good pub, good music, good atmosphere. Sadly Lefty's is closing down in 2 days.

Good food, excellent value, older style, inreresting American decor, vibrant Irish music on Friday nights. I always call in at least once whenever in San Francisco

This place is as straightforward as it comes: a great location to grab a drink and some hearty comfort food at a reasonable price. My family of 4 had lentil soup and hot corned beef sandwiches with sides for less than $30. This is my 3rd visit to San Francisco, and each time I have visited this restaurant. Nostalgic period... This was the ONLY place we could find in the main drag of the Union Square area of San Francisco that didn't require us to be seated by a maitre d' and our food order taken. Seriously! We'd already eaten and were just looking for a night cap. Well, from the off, the bartender was very friendly and made us... More

I went with an big appetite as my husband kept telling me how good the food was. When we went they were out of just about everything. I ended up with a sandwich which was just ok. My husband enjoyed his sliced roast beef and said his potatoes were ok. Had dinner about 9pm on a friday so that was... More
