Husband and I learned of this gem while on the love tour van from the best guide ever , ERI , great burrito ! Get al pastor ! Great tamales! The only reason for the four stars( debated over giving them one) was the poor attitude one of of the staff . The older heavy set guy was so rude... More

For some people they might say it does not look "highend" but I will tell you.... it is authentic/great food. We have had taco's and they are very tasty/fast service/clean.

I went her because of YouTube video where this is one of the places that claims to be the originator of the burrito. I got my burrito to go because neighborhood was a little sketchy and it was getting dark. The food was just average and definitely not the place to go for a family meal in the evening if... More

I'd noted this place down to visit as I'd seen it on Man V Food, and then stumbled across it when I wasn't even looking for it. Very friendly staff, the lady owner insisted I tasted a little bit of the different burrito fillings as I wasn't sure what I wanted off the extensive menu, and it was all delicious... More

If you want to eat the biggest fresh burrito you have ever seen, go to La Cumbre. We could not eat it all on our own, we had to share one between us and even then we only just finished it :) Great food, and atmosphere. Very fresh, very friendly. Simple but very tasty,

SFs award winning burrito joint never ever disappoints. Juicy but never wet. Flavorful but never overseasoned. Proud yet still humble. Ed and his friendly staff has nailed the perfect burrito. Great place for families and solo diners alike. A bit loud and chilly inside but the 3 kinds of hot sauces will keep you warm. A SF icon that hasn't... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Mission District
From burritos to bicyclists, the Mission is the foundation for all things hip in the city. Cultural attractions, an independent arts community, sumptuous street murals and a high density of bars and cafes make this neighbourhood a magnet for young people. While terrific inexpensive food is abundant, its top-of-the-line restaurants now compete with the city’s best for fashionable diners.
