After visiting nearby Dolores Park (disappointing), we came here and stood patiently in line to be served. We did manage to snag a table after buying our food - and the baked good were pretty good although I feel that we didn't really taste this...More

Stopped in at 7:00 on a beautiful Saturday night. They were out of most of the goodies. We purchased a very nice ham and cheese baguette, a full baguette and a tea cake. Good stuff. I need to come back in the morning.

To be truthful. You want the best bakery in SF. Please don’t look anywhere else. Often difficult to find a table but well worth it. Wait in line. Choose your items. Really enjoy!!

I have to cookbook and have been baking from it for months so it was awesome to finally get to go here. Bread comes out at 4:30pm. Tried the olive, ikron, and danish rye breads. All were fantastic and had their signature custardy crumb.

Located in the Mission is a gem of a local bakery. There is always a line to get in. It is a casual atomosphere with old wooden floors. There are about 6 tables inside and 4-5 outside. Limited seating. Most people are there to order...More

I stopped in and picked up their country loaf of sourdough because I heard it was the best in San Francisco. I was not disappointed, the loaf was huge, crunchy on the outside and baked to perfection.

street murals and a high density of bars and cafes
make this neighbourhood a magnet for young people.
While terrific inexpensive food is abundant, its
top-of-the-line restaurants now compete with the
