Reservation is strongly encouraged. We waited about 50mins to get a table. However once seated, service was quick and good. Food was served hot and tasty, no complains. The grilled Chicken and fried japchael were my favorites...

We, my brother and I, went there twice during our 5 day trip to San Francisco. it would have been three times if they didn't close on Wednesdays. The food was excellent and the service was great as well!

When I mean Korean BBQ, I mean exactly what I got at Han Il Kwan. Tasty fresh meat, spicy and marinated, lots of delicious tasty vegetables to share and lettuce to make rolls with meat and rice. It was just a perfect diner, even if we had to wait a few minutes. Indeed all tables aren't BBQ ready. The have... More

This place often reserves many tables for the bus loads of korean tourists. That should tell you plenty. If you don't get it... it means that Koreans from Korean will probably find this place acceptable to what they're accustomed back at home. Also it means that if you're not into it they kinda won't care because they're in cozy with... More

Had to wait over an hour, as you need to put your name down on the list. Worried, that it would not be worth it, but very pleasantly surprised. Would recommend. It's also really busy with the locals, which is a good sign.

Ordered the Braised Oxtail Stew, and did not regret it. The oxtail was tender and meaty, full of the braising liquid flavor. the banchan was plentiful, while delicious and fresh. Moreover, there is also a complementary spicy tofu soup which is flavorful and full of the soft tofu. Walked out of the restaurant with a full stomach and satisfying tongue!

From the staff to the food everything was amazing . We even watched 2 buses of Korean Tourist eating while we had our Korean BBQ that tells you a lot about how authentic and good the food is.

This restaurant is for real. Being Korean, it's hard for me to say whether non-Koreans would like it. But for those who are into truly authentic Korean food, this place is it. I had the kimchi dolsot bab, and hubby had kalkooksoo. The BEST kalkooksoo - handcut noodles that are better than some I've tried in Korea. And all the... More

A group of five went and we all agreed that this was the most authentic Korean dining experience we have yet had in the US. The only signs that we were not in Korea was the wooden chopsticks and no buzzer to call the waitstaff. The other patrons were predominately Korean and we heard Korean language being spoken all around... More
