I was our first time trying it out from recommendations from a friend. Food and margaritas were tasty but the only issue is parking. Got lucky and found a spot two blocks away, that was the last spot near by. Parking issues just come with the location.

I went for enchiladas with rice, sooo tasty! This place is famous for margaritas, try them and you'll not be diappointed (strong ones!). The place is cozy and service is rapid

Tia Margarita is a family owned Mexican Restaurant located in the Richmond District of San Francisco. They have been in business for many years and serve really good food. The margaritas served here are unique and quite powerful. I love them. Chips and Salsa is served at the bar and you can order from the menu as well. The dining... More

Sat down to complimentary chips & avocado dip. Top Drawer delicious Margaritas. Progressed to quesadillas & enchiladas. Everything was excellent. Service very good. Would I go back again? You betcha!

Food was okay, service was fine. But, noise level and crowds made conversation impossible. Shame, since they have tables big enough for a group. Can't enjoy it.

I've made several trips to Tia Margarita over the last 2-3 years because I have friends who really like it, and it's convenient. I've tried different entrees and have been disappointed in most: bland, too much sauce, oily cheese, even stale chips and a salsa that tasted more like catsup than salsa. Plus the back room always smells a little... More

Have been dining and imbibing at this Mexicqn eatery for over 40 years.....and it has hardly changed. The changes have seemed to be only the wait staff, as well as the daughter replacing her Mom. The bar was very fully occupied, not a stool to be had. Fernando, the very friendly bartender, greeted me warmly, as Helen(mgr/owner) escorted us to... More

I met some old friends here for dinner on a Saturday night The place is easy to fine but parking is the hardest thing to find in this busy residential/commercial area. I found the Mexican food to be abundant and very good. I ordered a large combination with a taco, relleno and burrito (all beef) with rice and black beans.... More

Overpriced, bland Mexican food. With over-priced and watered-down "Top Shelf" margaritas! There are SO many more better restaurants in this great city.

this place can handle small and large groups comfortably... the size is deceptive, looks like a small place when you first enter... Food is fine, standard neighborhood mexican fare. all the usual combinations and alternatives are available. Good sized portions.
