Choice relaxed and spacious venue for a spot of light lunch after walking the city. Beautifully presented falafels and comfortable seating with a very laid back ambience and free WiFi. Cool sounds in the background and a friendly service.

First time visiting this cafe, from the outside I knew perhaps it's not the place for me... But it's good the step out of comfort zone I thought. Well, your gut feeling is never wrong. It's an old run down cafe, the hostess is a loud casual individual... No credit cards allowed but the ATM only charges $1.75 for the... More

A local place, with a lot of people living in the neigboorhod, perfect for a coffee, a pastry or a sandwich. The food are good and not expensive (comparing other prices in SF !) Waiters and barista are very cool and relax. Loved this place

We stopped here for a sandwich and a beer. It's a really cool spot. The food was so fresh and the staff were really helpful. The lady working there recognised our friend from when he used to go in there a decade ago when he was in SF for the summer. They do Barry's tea for any Irish tourists feeling... More

I love coming here! They make the best cappucino and natural smoothies without bs additives and served with a smile! Relaxed and an easy meeting place! These types of places are disappearing from San Francisco unfortunately!

We came here by accident for a coffee and some pastry. I liked the atmosphere and the raisinswirl I had was super yummy. I've never seen a restroom with graffiti before!

Enjoyed this honest cafe in The Haight. Had the Mediterranean plate for $9.99 + tax it included the falaffels, best vine leaves I have ever eaten served warm, hummus, baba ganoush, tabouli, olives and a greek salad and warm pitta bread. Cafe also had a great vibe.

Staying in Haight-Ashbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Haight-Ashbury
The area surrounding the intersection of Haight and Ashbury streets, “The Haight” still exudes vibes of the 1960s counterculture as a haven for vintage clothes, music, pop posters and body piercing shops. While the Summer of Love ended decades ago, Haight-Ashbury has turned into a melting pot of hippies, hipsters, and professionals. Walking through its streets can still feel like stepping back in time. A must-see neighbourhood for most music fans, it’s easy to see why these streets attracted the likes of the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin. You’ll likely be content in The Haight day or night, just be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.
