This place is consistent. They serve a good burrito and good chips. Not excellent but adequate. I eat hear many meals a month because I know what I am getting, I know how long it will take to get servied and I know how clean the place is.

The best place for Tacos de Carnitas at Castro. Great place for Mexican every day food with a real Mexican taste. It's so good that they have line most of the time !

First time on Castro Street. Seemed a little quiet for a weekend afternoon. Taqueria Zapata is a simple eatery, backless chairs, decent menu, friendly staff, clean john. You tell the cook at the steam table what ingredients you want, but the outcome was unexpected. I agree with a previous reviewer that their taco is unusual. Stuff piled high, including the... More

Was running around shopping and cruising the Castro a couple of weeks ago. Had dinner plans that evening but got the munchies and just wanted to get a little something into myself to hold me until dinner later. Stopped in this place as a single taco sounded like just the right thing. So I ordered one taco grande. I guess... More

The food was very dry and tasteless. The guacamole taste like plastic, was puree smooth, and had no avocado chunks in it. The beef and chicken were sitting in a warming boar completely dried out, My chicken fajita had a large piece of chicken bone in it causing me to nearly break a tooth. I will avoid this place next... Nothing fancy, just a burrito the way you like it. An excellent cheap eat option in the Castro and one that was busy when I was there, which to me is a good sign. Came away happily contented.

I've always enjoyed going for a cocktail in the neighbourhood then stopping here for a burrito or a taco. Made to order, the meat and chicken are grilled in front of you. You get to chose your fillings and they have lots of choice. The Super size is crazy big! Great value. Served with tortilla chips, order a side of... More

Hands down this was the best taco. Full of fresh ingredients and lots of flavor, my lunch was one for the books. Friendly service, character filled restaurant with plenty of tables. Can't beat the prices either!

As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighbourhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation.
