Amazing handmade pasta, great sauces that are creative and flavorful. Pizza was simple but really good.

Modern, clean and airy decor, cute neighborhood, easy parking, very nice servers, yummy food (delicious thin crust pizza). A popular neighborhood spot. We enjoyed our dinner from the food, to the atmosphere, to the fact that we could carry on a conversation in a busy but not loud space. Would go there again if in that neighborhood.

First off, this place is really beautiful! It is bright, open, and airy. The service is also great- my waiter was attentive and thoughtful. The focaccia was incredible - warm, fresh, soft - definitely the highlight! I got a Margherita pizza for my main course. It was ok, but lacked flavor (or salt?) perhaps. I would still come back here... More

I came in for a fast dinner and expected the same as most all the other reviewers got. Did I come in on the wrong day or did I just order the wrong thing. I ordered wild scallop, lentil, baby carrot, pancetta, salsa verde. I got TWO yes TWO scallops at $13.00 each. Did anyone tell them that three makes... More

Piccino was recommended to us by a colleague who lives locally and is a regular. We had a great lunch with a mix of pizzas and salads between us, perfect unfussy lunchtime food made from fresh tasty ingredients. We chose to sit outside and soak up some sunshine along with our lunch. Friendly staff who know the menu well. I... More

I had lunch at Piccino and really loved the food - the service was a little inattentive but overall the experience was great. Lovely atmosphere and very unique food. About 10 minutes from Union Square but definitely worth taking an Uber! The tuna conserva toast and seared octopus were amazing!

Piccino is wonderful, fresh Italian/California food. Delicious appetizers. Grilled octopus was tender and flavorful. Wish they didn't charge for bread, however; they charge $3 for two tiny pieces of focaccia and EVOO. Thin crust pizzas always so tasty. Grillled quail came with two small well-prepared birds. Apple-date cake and pear tartine were wonderful desserts but n the small side for... More

Wonderful ambiance, great service, and the food is amazing. Very fresh, creative and incredibly delicious. The pasta with braised goat was fantastic as were the brussel sprouts.

This was a great place for a last night dinner. We had an excellent dinner and the ambience and atmosphere was great. We had a reservation and were promptly seated. We had two servers one was new and observing but I must say she also did very well. Every one of our orders was very delicious. We love Italian food... More

First off, we did not visit the restaurant on Minnesota Street side. Around the corner on 22nd street, they have a coffee spot. The coffee here is the same that you expect to get in Italy and Australia. Not the stuff that looks and tastes like dish water, but the quality that coffee lovers dream about. They also provide graet... More

Description
When we opened the doors of our tiny restaurant in December 2006, our goal was to make Piccino as welcoming as the home of a close friend, our food as simple and beautifully executed as possible. We"re honored that Piccino became a thriving hub of the community. And in May of 2011 we moved from our original space into a new home (dubbed The Yellow Building) on the corner of 22nd & Minnesota Streets, which we share with our friends MAC (Modern Appealing Clothing), and DIG wine shop. Our menu still features the classic and seasonally driven thin-crust pizzas and polpette (Tuscan-style pork and beef meatballs) Piccino is known for; our salads and soups use the finest organic produce sourced directly from small local farms. Piccino's menu has expanded to include more small starter plates, house-made pastas, contorni (vegetable sides), and special entrees of meat, fish, or poultry. Seasonal desserts and expertly made coffee complete our daily offerings.
