Green chili burger is great. Right amount of heat and flavor. Burrito plates are big and filling, and really good. Hard to find an indoor seat during lunch unless you get there earlier than 11:30.

I've been to Hot Rocks twice, once for breakfast and once for lunch, and been impressed both times. Their ingredients taste very fresh which makes a huge difference as far as meal quality! Service is good and there is always ample seating available. They also seem to have more health-conscious options than most other places in town.

Not an easy place to get to unless you are visiting Los Alamos National Labs. A great place for lunch. Service was fast early in the lunch hour. The NM Chicken Ceasar Salad was wonderful. Really liked how they infused the green chili flavor in the dressing. You'll have to ask how to find this place because there is no... More

Place was busy, workers were working hard. I tried the green chile infused Caesar Salad. Greens were good, chicken was dry and flavorless, serving size was good. Not a lot of choices in Los Alamos for food so give this place a shot.

I eat at Hot Rocks at least once a week. I usually order the ala carte bean or steak burrito with green chile. Once in a great while, I'll order an enchilada too. All of the burritos and enchiladas are very good, and they have some of the best green chile in the area. Tip: it is best to get... More

Hot Rocks is a slightly better option than the cafeterias on-site at LANL. You can get hot breakfast or lunch, which is nice, and they prepackage a variety of salads and baked goods. I would rate several things quite highly but in general the food is just average. I really like the croissants, the breakfast burritos, and the paninis. I... More

I advise people to go elsewhere, Hot Rocks is unimpressive, the food is less than average, and the service is not customer friendly.

If you want to grab a quick bite to eat - this is the place. Always good and always quick! Decent selection for a small cafe.

I had a good lunch here yesterday, red enchilada plate with beef. The red sauce was good, the enchiladas were ground beef, not that great, but overall it tasted good. This place had good coffee and sandwiches, new mexican food, and is usually well-patronized. Sometimes the wait is long, because it's near the lab and people like it.

Great atmosphere! Quck service and quite friendly. I came here to just relax for a few minutes after hiking all day. Nice place to stop in and have a quick bite! Would highly recommend!
