This is a very small restaurant. But it makes up for it with great food. Price is a little high. But still worth the money if you want some great German food. Will definitely go back

My wife and I enjoyed great food and drinks here on Saturday 5/13 Our server Michael was professional and extremely helpful. He does his job very well. Food was absolutely outstanding. Asheville has some great restaurants and this one is in the top tier in my estimation If you enjoy German food I highly recommend it.

The food was very good and authentic and the beers was great. The owners are fantastic people. Spent fours eating and visiting. Well worth the two hour trip to get there. Looking forward to our next visit.

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant after a very long day of disappointments. He wanted to go "flee-marketing" and after finding two online and putting them into his GPS we were off. Both markets were not there. So we decided to visit Grandfather Mountain. Disappointment #3, it costs $20.00 person just to get in the gate. We... More

I am sorry for such a disappointing day. I will say, though, the Wurst Balle special you had has had nothing but rave reviews. As to sitting under lights... that is not the Bavarian Restaurant. We do all our food to order. More

It had been a bad day... just a day that had thrown lots of stupid issues at us. Neither of us wanted to cook. He said, "Let's go out!" and I said, "Can we try that German place near here?" and off we went. Wow. I had the sauerbraten, and it was better than Mom's... it was tender, moist, covered... More

First time visiting this restaurant. Family did eat here before. Had a Beer-varian. Got to try one. Food was excellent and worth trying one of everything. Lunch portions almost same as dinner.

Everything here was very good. The old world decor and charm, the beer list and menu. It was hard for us to decide which German food to get as they had a wide selection. Many beers to choose from also, all good ones including one of my all time favs, Ayinger. Service was from Jason, the owner, as it was a... More

We visited in mid-afternoon in February on a Saturday for lunch. The service and atmosphere are unique and wonderful! I was thrilled that they had Haufbrau Dunkel on tap along with other Bavarian, German, and Austrian beers. We had the schnitzel, bratwurst, and spätzle. Everything was delicious.

We sought out this restaurant while visiting Asheville because we really enjoy authentic German food and we were not disappointed! The food was outstanding. We had sauerbraten and schnitzel. Yum. And the red cabbage was extraordinary. Dessert was Bavarian cream puffs that just melted in your mouth. Our server was Jason who was perfectly on point. Anticipated what you want... More
