Antique shopping in Asheville and in the area. Restaurant search brought us to The Red Stag Grill and with no reservations our late appetite paid off. Upscale fine dinning , we were casually dressed but treated with class. Carafe of Mimosa and a Bloody Mary were a delight. Told our waitress I have had Shrimp and Grits in top restaurants... More

We were in Asheville visiting our son, Stephen Avery, and we were treated to brunch on Sunday, Feb. 19th. Everything from the greeter to the service to the food was awesome! Everyone got a different dish so we could each get a taste, everything was delicious and the service was excellent. Thomas treated us like family!

We only had cocktails, but this is a really nice upscale place and the drink selection was impressive. Our drinks were special and the bar atmosphere is surprisingly convivial.

We had breakfast at the Red Stag Grille all five days of our stay in Asheville. The breakfast was outstanding, the eggs Benedict, in different ways, was exceptional each time. The surprise stand out for us, were the blue cheese grits. They were uniquely delicious.

The Red Stag Grill is in the Grand Bohemian Hotel. Gorgeous dark wood paneling, lots of carved wood and lots of dead animals on the wall (very upscale hunting lodge). Large beautiful fireplace in the lobby. This was a first time visit and the food (Shrimp and Grits) was excellent. Will definitely return. The only negative I see is the... More

you walk in through a stone archway and there is a fireplace with lounge chairs. The decor is very upscale with a hunting lodge type theme. Don't let that fool you, it is a romantic spot with very private dining ares. Both my dining partner and I had the elk, which was incredible. Our server was both attentive, but knew... More

While in Asheville for our anniversary, we decided to give this place a shot. Complimentary valet was really nice and that guy that drove my full size truck backwards into the entrance to drop it off, he was da wheel MVP... Anyways I had the chefs sampler, the salad was very fresh, the scallop was great, and the elk... wish... More

The Red Stag grill restaurant It is just off the main lobby, with a long attractive bar on the right as you move toward the main dining area. The hunting lodge/art gallery theme is present here as well, and the dining area is very well appointed. This is not a huge restaurant, and the tables are close together, and it... More

Excellent food. Ate at Red Stag for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was delicious, good options, plenty of food. Dinner was outstanding. We went with the 4 course tasting menu - great variety, very filling. Elk melted in your mouth. Menu has offerings for all from fancy entrees including exotic meats to hamburgers and sandwiches. Good variety of salads and soups... More

We came here after looking at reviews from fellow reviewers. Once again, GREAT ADVICE! This was honestly one of the very best meals all of us have ever had! We had the taster menu which was 4 courses of absolute perfection! The service was fantastic as well as the atmosphere- an absolute MUST if you are anywhere in NC!
