We stumbled on this place and it was fantastic. We are from Chicago where the Mexican food is 100% authentic and hard to beat. This place could easily match up with anything we had in Chicago. Staff was great too!

The food is great, and you get a LOT of it. I like their salsa bar. I would definitely return here when I want some good Mexican and am in the area.

Just ate dinner here on recommendation of a friend who lives nearby. Had the chili rellenos which were delicious. Pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the food was. Located in an unattractive strip mall, but definitely will return for the food & service.

I think this is Papas n Beers sister restaurant. We love this restaurant so much that this was my husbands first choice once he returned from Afghanistan. I love their Fajita Steak Salad and my husband always gets their Avocado Burrito. The salsa bar is on point and the house margaritas are the best in Asheville. We have probably been... More

We were looking for Mexican in downtown Asheville and we sat down at a place, it was way overpriced, and literally got up and left because we wanted something cheaper and authentic. We drove not even 5 minutes out of town and found this gem. I was stuffed, amazing food, amazing prices. Definitely coming here again on my next visit!!

My wife and I eat here for the first time. The fajitas were delicious and man oh man plentiful. We ordered beef and shrimp and after eating we had another meal for 2 to take home.Service was awesome and really quick. Authentic Mexican for very reasonably priced. Highly recommend and will plan to visit again when in Asheville.

Warm(if noisy!) atmosphere, fast service, low prices, and excellent food. Most widely varied menu I've ever seen in any restaurant anywhere, with many vegetarian/vegan options. The salsa bar is outstanding with fresh, house-made salsas and sauces. The table salsa is unique: a warm bean-based dip. The table side guacamole is wonderful. Great for families, dates, quick lunches, or takeout.

Great food and service, These folks are there to make your stay enjoyable. I asked for carnitas and they come either with cheese or tomato sauce and when they saw me hesitant about what to select, they said " what the hell, I will give you both". that is the attitude needed when you care for the business. Belive me... More

Love this local Mexican spot. Extensive menu with something for everybody. Good drink menu too (Coke products). Fast & friendly service. Very unassuming storefront location, nice atmosphere inside, though tables are a bit cramped. Booths are much better. We tried some new menu items. Chorizo Rancheros was quite tasty. Carnitas Fajitas is a family favorite & quite the crowd pleaser.... More

Hands down one of the best meals I get every time I visit Asheville. Everything is always delicious, the prices are insanely cheap, and the service is top notch.
