We have thought about visiting Tupelo Honey on our visits to Asheville, but the lines always kept us away. That said, we went after the lunch rush this time . Although, it was busy, the wait time was less than 20 minutes ( during the...More

After a 20 minute wait on a Wednesday, we had a great meal! I had the Tupelo Shrimp and Grits with chorizo. Was spicy, but excellent. One in party had the buttermilk chicken and gravy. Was outstanding! Service was excellent. Enjoy!

Went here with a party of three for brunch. We were told the wait was 20min which was accurate. The food was excellent. One minus Point because our service was a bit snippy when we were seated.

While wandering the streets of Asheville ... we stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. It was packed for a Tuesday night and after our visit... we could see why. There were three of us in our party and two of us had the Buttermilk...More

Went on a Sunday morning for brunch. Very good but small. Expect a wait or get reservations. All the food was excellent and had fast-friendly service. Would go back.

Very good brunch with lots of options. The biscuits and honey are delicious. Service can be a bit slower on Sunday during brunch but the food is worth it. Parking may be hard to find.

My first time at the "local institution." It was a crowded day in the area as the Christmas parade was that morning, but the restaurant had a streamlined process for taking names and texted us in 15-20 minutes when the table was ready. We were...More

A decade ago if you wanted a really nice, modern, southern style meal in Asheville Tupelo Honey was your only option - or at least it was the best option. They now have cookbooks and restaurants in several states (and two in Asheville), but they're...More

Tupelo Honey is a great place to eat if you want to try some local flavors! The chef uses food that is local to the area - meats, veggies, honey, etc. My husband and I ate there for breakfast and I must say that you...More

I'm not sure but I wasn't all that satisfied with this place I think there are better restaurants in the area, I'd check with some of the locals while you are there in the area.

As an Asheville resident, my biggest complaint is there is no place at all to dress up. not the theater, restaurants, even church. Still some of us do because of habit or we like to. I would encourage everyone to wear a... More

Our Southern dishes and libations are served with a creative twist and a smile, and we serve our guests nothing that we wouldn't want on our own supper table. When we play with our food (and we think it's okay), the result is scrumptious. We're rooted in the Mountain South, and our menu is inspired by time-honored traditions: pickling and frying, canning and preserving, and utilizing seasonal produce and ingredients to prepare delicious, scratch-made creations.
