OK, admittedly I am a bit biased being of direct German descent and growing up with my grandmother's German cooking I am hard to impress when I go into most German restaurants. But the Bier Garden in Asheville bares no resemblance at all to a German restaurant. It is basically a sports bar serving standard pub fare. The sandwiches my... More

The experience here is fantastic, it has a pub/sports bar feel, with a very large menu, great food and 100's of beers from around the world!

Very good food, huge portions. Great beer selection, great Reuben sandwich and the fried vegetables with spicy pimento cheese was terrific.

We stopped in here the night we got to Asheville. We wanted to get a beer and a quick bite to eat. The food was ok. The beer selection was good and the server knew his beers. However, why go here when there are 15 breweries with great beer all within 1/2 mile from it.

This was one of the best discoveries we have made while walking around downtown at night. We walked past the drum circle in the park and started to get hungry. We found this place and it looked inviting enough. Wow! They have a huge beer list of local brews so it took us awhile to make a decision. Then we... More

Lots of choices. Bartenders who know their stuff. Pub-ish atmosphere. Great place to stop in for a beer. There is food service, which we didn't use.

I was here on a Saturday night around 10pm and it was already pretty crowded and loud. They tried to seat us at a table next to the bar where people were standing. I'm sorry but I can't eat with a bunch of butts in my face, so I asked for a different table. I got the French dip with... More

A beer list as long as my arm, darts, and TV's made this the perfect hangout to watch the March Madness basketball. It is clear that this place has some history with downtown Asheville as lots of locals as well as visitors appear to frequent this establishment.

Visited a couple of times during the SoCon basketball tournament. Great atmosphere with more beer choices than I've ever seen before and a fantastic menu. Of all the things on the menu the nachos were our favorite. Tons of TV's so it's a great place to keep up with all the big games.

This is a great bar in Asheville. LOTS of different beer options. Food is amazing as well! We had the emu burger and the elk burger...the elk was the best. The wings are also good. I would definitely recommend stopping by here. There are tvs to watch sports as well!

Thank PSimms
