(review of TAKE-OUT) My family and I (3 children: aged 13, 11, and 10) visited Asheville the week before Thanksgiving. We were not prepared for the cold weather, and there was little motivation in our hotel room to rally for a dinner out. I called DOC Chey's for take away and ordered some pad thai, a beef dish, and a... More

It was a disappointment. Shame that they do not know how to season properly. Too much fish sauce in spicy Thai basil noodles, miso ramen soup broth did not have enough misogyny flavor, Korean bibimbob veggies are wrong kinds, the only thing we enjoyed was lettuce wrap. But chicken has too much Japanese kimchi paste for the seasoning.

The food came out fast and was very tasty. Big portions, so my friend and I both went home with leftovers.

So disappointed that they were closed on Friday after Thanksgiving. Downtown was packed with people. Totally understand being closed on the holiday, but not Black Friday.

DOC Chey's only gets 4 stars because we had to go back a second time in order to at there. The first time, the line was well over an hour long and we were too hungry to wait, so we went back on a week night. The food itself was great. I had Ramen soup with trout - it was... More

This might not be a fair review, so you might consider it only a limited first impression. My wife and I dropped in here for an early dinner after a show at a nearby theater. It was the first time we’d visited this place, and with its good rep, we decided to give it a try. We weren’t super hungry... More

We were told the wait could be up to an hour but were sat within 15 minutes, so good start! The noodles are a good sized portion; we tried one of their specials that was very yummy. Two entrees and an app were the perfect size for two people, no leftovers though. Great place to try!

We ate dinner here on a recent trip to Asheville. Varied and unique menu with something for everyone. We started with the steamed pork dumplings, which were some of the best I have ever eaten! The Szechwan Chicken was delish with just the right amount of heat. My husband had the green curry rice special which was also very good.... More
