The service was slow in the beginning, but the food made up for it. Everyone in my group of 5 received their meals 10 minutes before me. They had burgers, and a sirloin. I had salmon and broccoli. I had to ask where mine was,...and was told oh, I didn't realize it wasn't out. The cook saved the day though. The salmon and broccoli were cooked to perfection. I ended up really enjoying my visit.More
Had to send two items back. The spinach dip was sent out cold, and my beer tasted like cleaner. The cooks also managed to mess up macaroni and cheese. Which is almost impressive. EVEN IN A PANDEMIC DONT EAT HERE.
My daughter and I had a stressful day and stopped in Applebee's to unwind. The top shelf margarita was excellent. My salmon was cooked perfectly. My daughter had one of the new loaded steak, chicken and shrimp platters, impressive serving of each. Our waitress, Jessica,...checked on us frequently, kept water glasses and margarita refilled from shaker. Definitely great experience!More
Hadn't been to an Applebee's in ages, but ate here while traveling because it was very convenient to our hotel. Was impressed with the restaurant atmosphere, staff and food. Might try out one closer to home again.
Applebee's is a chain but this one is just fine. Even though I was in there rather late for a meal, the wait staff was very friendly, responsive, helpful. It is very handy to the Country Inn and Suites where I was staying.
Very busy on Saturday night. We were seated right away and received our meals timely. After that, we nearly saw our waitress, especially when ready to check out. The mozzarella sticks were excellent, the burger was nothing special. Fries ok. Maybe if not so busy...we could have received better service after getting our meal.More
I was headed home after a weekend in Western North Carolina. I was hungry and stopped at the Smoky Park exit in Asheville. Cracker Barrel and Waffle House were both packed. I looked around and saw fast food places and Applebee's. I took a chance...on Applebee's. Many Applebee's locations across the US are going out. This location is a prime example why they are closing up. The service was lackluster with the staff acting like they did not want to provide customer service. I ordered a grilled chicken salad. The chicken was plain and tasteless. The salad looked like it was thrown together in the bowl. Pretty much plain and tasteless. I ate very little and left most of the chicken in the bowl. They have a very limited choice of beers. This was my bad choice. I should have went through a drive thru.More
This is the last Applebee’s standing in the Asheville area. Staff were very friendly & professional. Plenty of free parking. Drinks were to order & very nice. Atmosphere reflects local culture. Convenient to I-40.
All of these people contributed to such a wonderful late Sat evening dining experience. Mom and I stopped in coming North from Greenville, SC where we went shopping. To our luck, we learned that after 10 pm on Sat., selected appetizers are half price. The...duck wonton tacos, four in a serving, rock, contain only 560 calories and rung in at $3.60. Great stuff. Both servers spent a generous amount of time at the table and responded rapidly when I used the portable computer on each table. Cody was very knowledgeable about the scene in Asheville and recommended some places downtown I might check out some day. All in all, a great local dining experience in a chain which is normally not my vibe. Super clean and modern, too. Hit it up.More
