1 hour to get the food we ordered, server was clearly overwhelmed. We started with a sticky bun, tasty but cold, warm would have been great. Took forever for drinks or to take our order. Got the chicken sandwich, chicken was large , on a...cold bun with no lettuce or tomato, and a tiny bit of cheese barely covering 1/4 of chicken. Got some sauce on side to add, it helped, never brought lettuce and tomato. Tiny portion of fries. The cheeseburger was juicy and tasty, with more fries for some reason. The egg dishes were bland and the other diners said not great. In addition, drinks were loaded with ice and small. The place was dark and FREEZING, warmed up as the place filled with people. Others in the place looked happy and seemed to be having a good time, hopefully they get the poor staff more help.More

Excellent service, very clean establishment. Got the calamari to start, highly recommend. Pesto shrimp was amazing as was the brick chicken. Awesome wine selection. Wouldn't recommend sitting outside if its below 20 out. They do have a great setup with heat lamps.

The service is great and welcoming. We enjoyed the mussels and cheese balls to start and everyone's entree was delicious: pork chop, pasta, soup. The portions are generous. We split two yummy desserts. The drinks selections are varied. A great place for dinner.

Just had a wonderful dinner in the summer patio at Dbar. We began with the Caprese Salad with heirloom tomatoes grown on the rooftop of Dbar. We also sampled the Rock Shrimp with a perfectly balanced aioli sauce. Dinner was a Crispy Blue Cod with...fingerling potatoes. Absolutely perfectly seasoned and delicious. We finished with homemade mango and raspberry sorbet. A perfect evening and excellent service by Corey our server!More

dbar never disappoints. The dark restaurant and bar is always lively, and dining on the outdoor patio, surrounded by attentive servers and bright flowers, is glorious in the summer. You forget that you're on not-so-pretty block. The watermelon salad is perfect fat triangles of ruby and...yellow watermelon with just-right combination of feta, prosciutto, almonds and balsamic vinegar. My companion had figs stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in prosciutto, then a duck confit grilled cheese which he declared perfect. The soy pork came with black grain and pineapple on the side, very tasty. I wish that the menu were larger, but like how dbar changes it seasonally to offer local produce. A great neighborhood place. The four stars is because its location on Dorchester Ave offers no pre-or-post dinner ambiance. That's not the fault of dbar but is part of the experience.More

I eat here fairly regularly. My favorite time to go is sunday brunch. The huevos rancheros are muy delicioso. The staff are always friendly, attentive, and fun without being overbearing. I’m a teetotaler so I can’t really comment on cocktails, but my friends enjoy them....Not super expensive. What’s most special about the place is the mixed crowd it attracts. Everyone is welcome!More

The parking, welcome and service here is very good. I like the moody lighting. The 2 cocktails I tried, both had the oddest flavours. Hopefully they have gone by the time you dine there. Perhaps stick to beer or wine. The menu is short but...seasonal and interesting. It's not a place I'd recommend for kids or families - it seems more of an adult venue. We did enjoy it though. Just one word of warning. If you are a group of 3 or 4 don't be tempted to sit in the cozy looking booths. They're drafty and cold in winter, especially when the front door is opened.More

After a hectic day we opted to go out for a late dinner. DBar offered parking so we gave it a try. One word description = excellent. We had a fig & peach appetizer. It was unique & delicious. My husband had the house burger....It was cooked perfectly and served with very tasty shoestring fries. I had The Family Jewels from the small bites menu. It was scrumptious. Definitely will be back.More
