Nice fancy Italian place. All the food was really good. Risotto ball appetizer is amazing. My rigatoni was also good. All that food together with the bread though, didn't have any room to try dessert. Staff was really nice and the chef also came around to say hello.

I visited Da Vinci in August and the hospitality and food quality knocked my socks off. Back 4 months later, we decided to go back rather than explore other places. It might have been even better this time; the waiter, the maitre'd and eventually even the chef treated us like royalty. The food was superb - even the simple potato... More

Visited Da Vinci Ristorante about a week ago and was very impressed with the service and the quality of the meal. The current fall menu is outstanding. We all ordered from the Primi listing. The Indian Fusion Masala Ravioli and the Pumpkin and Sage Mezzaluna were probably two of my favorite all time dinner choices - I had the ravioli... More

We are visiting Boston and asked for a good Italian restaurant. This place was referred by our hotel, and also by the pleasant lady who realized we were tourists and needed some help with directions. The pleasantries started at the hostess desk. Melissa was friendly, polite and seated us at a nice table even though we didn't have reservations. Our... More

To be fair my husbands filet was great. However, the bolognese they are "famous" for was just ok. I was actually pretty disappointed--it seemed almost reheated. Our appetizer was decent-but the "homemade" bread seemed stale and wasn't enjoyable at all. The warm chocolate cake was pretty good but not worth waiting 20 minutes for. If you're a foodie I would... We wanted somewhere local to our hotel mad were delighted with when we found Davinci. We were looked after by Kim who was delightful and had a lovely evening....the restaurant has subdued lighting but wait till you open the menus! We shared a starter which was enough for a taster and then we both had pasta. I went for the... More

Recommended by the concierge at our hotel. The signature risotto balls definitely lived up to the hype. We also ordered the gnocchi, butternut squash ravioli and chicken parmigiana, all of which were excellent. The ambiance, service and hospitality all contributed to a great meal.

There's nothing wrong with this restaurant...food was pretty good, service was friendly, the restaurant décor was a little much, but it was comfortable.. The problem is that nothing was spectacular or even memorable....I chose this place as it was highly recommended by the hotel I stayed at, but felt I should have gone with my instincts and tried one of... Enjoyed a very special dinner at Da Vinci's last night and can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we stepped in the door until the very last bite of dessert, we were made to feel like the only customers they had. Wait staff is highly trained and go the extra mile, for sure. We were thankful the entrees come... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
