This is a great choice in the Quincy Market area for both good food and service as well as location. We enjoyed a nice lunch with excellent views of the crowds of people going from shop to shop as well as the Faneuil Hall Marketplace. The service was great and the comfort food was enjoyable. The Reuben was excellent and... More

This place was awesome. It was thanksgiving so I had a reservation and would probably have not gotten in if we didn't. As for right now, the christmas lights are on and they are coordinated with christmas music and it's really cool. This restaurant is at Faneuil Hall, so there is a lot to do around there as well. We... More

We stopped here for some drinks on Thanksgiving and envied the other diners' turkey dinners (as our hotel experience left a lot to be desired) and Anthem's meals looked great. We came back the day we flew home for brunch which was gorgeous. There is a nice atmosphere here and it seems popular. Decor inside and upstairs is very trendy.... More

My first time trying the Lobster Mac and cheese and the waiter was right it was good comfort food! Wonderful blend of everything from a traditional thanksgiving dinner to grilled cheese or fish and chips or a bean burger!

I went yesterday to this new restaurant at Faneuil Hall called Anthem Kitchen and Bar. The menu looked good with bar food and drinks ranging from sandwiches to salads etc. I ordered a Pomegranate Martini which was ok (not the best I've ever had) and my husband ordered a Pear Martini. We ordered their "award winning" clam chowder from the... More

Stopped in here for lunch before a college visit. The menu and food presentation were good yet the turkey wrap and grilled steak on the Caesar salad were kind of bland.

We had just finished the freedom trial and got the ferry back and were in desperate need of somewhere to stop and rest. We passed this and it looked welcoming and more importantly did cocktails. We had the lychee martini and the Samuel Adams local beer both were very good. We then ordered some warm crisps which came with a... More

Delicious Food! You have to try the BLT bites as an appetizer and wood oven pizza! We had great service and a beautiful view on the patio!

I visited this restaurant for the first time this October. It was the perfect fall day: crisp, sweater weather We ordered the fondue and we were NOT disappointed. It was just the right temperature and the bread that came with it was awesome: just the right size and they must have toasted the pieces in butter.......mmmmm. Oh and we sat... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
