I love Maria’s. The tourists flock to Mikes. The locals like Maria’s. Off the beaten track and unassuming, this place is the best. Try the pistachio or the pignoli cookies for a special treat. And they are made fresh every day. Unreal.

Still keeping the retro setting, Maria’s serves traditional Italian pastry. Though not fancy decorated like modern pastries, it keeps the originality and tastes good.

This review is related to a purchase I made last November. I made a purchase which included a small panettone which was extremely disappointing. Whereas there should be tiny chunks of candied/dry fruit in the bread, there were slivers, almost shaved to a thinness that...More

As I was about to visit Boston, my friends told me I have to have Cannoli while there so I checked TripAdvisor and decided to come here as it was very highly rated without the line ups. Now I have only had cannoli once before...More

Stopped here after an excellent tour of the north end by Free Tours by Foot. David highly recommended Maria’s for the best cannoli in Boston and he was right. We will be back for more!

I--like a zillion other tourists, I'm sure--decided to fashion my own "cannoli tour" of Boston's North End. First up, Maria's (and a great first stop it was). A non-assuming storefront a bit off in the corner of the tourist-ridden hustle-and-bustle, I actually walked right by...More

I tried the pistachio cannoli, the filling wasn't bad, but the pistachio tasted stale. Even though I think for the size and price ($4) I don't plan to visit again, more experienced reviewers may feel good enough. I just wish I read the review about...More

Last week we visited Boston and went to Maria's Pastry Shop. This is a neighborhood-type pastry shop - if you are lucky enough to live in a neighborhood with a pastry shop like this. I had a cannoli (which is only filled when you order...More

Forget about the endless lines at Mike's Pastry. Maria's is the real deal. They serve the most delicious lobster tails in the North End. Maria's pizzelles are scrumptious. Unlike other bakeries nearby, Maria's cannolli are never filled in advance. This assures that the shell will...More
