Over priced. Lobster bisque was not served as an appetizer and the waitress forgot until the end of the meal to bring it to us. It was watery, and tasted very fishy, as if it was not fresh. No lobster noted in the bisque. The quinoa that came with the salmon was bland and no flavor. They did assist us... More

Waterline located in the Boston Marriott Long Wharf, offers classic New England fare made from the finest, locally-sourced ingredients. Nice views of the harbor and clean environment friendly service.

We had the crispiest fried calamari ever. And with great flavors. Service was just fine and dandy. Same space served beautifully for late-night cocktails and for breakfast the next day.

The food is good, fresh with local offerings. The service was friendly but slow. I wish some of the menu items on the room service menu were available in the restaurant.

We found the food absolutely beautiful to look at. Unfortunately, what was missing was FLAVOR in dishes. Not worth the $50+ lunch tab for two soups, iced tea and a sandwich, the most flavorful item was the iced tea.

Tasty brisket tacos and excellent service made for an enjoyable lunch! Had a hard time choosing what to eat, as there were several tempting choices. Happy with my decision and it was just enough.

At the Marriott Long Wharf for a conference, we were going to go out for dinner but the skies had opened, so we opted to eat in the hotel. It was early, and not very busy, so the service was most attentive. The burger was excellent; there is a very nice wine list from which to choose.

The food is good, but not the best in Boston. They serve until 11:00p.m. which proved helpful to us. The crab sliders are outstanding.

Breakfast 15 dollars and on up. Buffet was 25 dollars. Too pricey for breakfast for us. Food was good so we did do one breakfast here. We did small meal in evening and was very good and prices were more in line. Burgers 15 to 17 dollars. And very good.

The Waterline restaurant, part of the Marriott Long Wharf, is a very inviting place to get a drink and / or food. We recently stopped there and had drinks and appetizers after a long day of walking around the harbor front area. We had a nice table that looked out over the water and the park. Our server was very... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
