I ordered The Original Panini and it was the best Italian sandwich I ever had! The sun dried tomato pesto was delicious with their square sourdough bread. I highly recommend eating here!

Stocked with the best olive oils, pastas and other specialty products. I make it a point to stop by when visiting the North End to pick up a bottle of Rubio - a very fine aged balsamic vinegar. This thick, dark and inky balsamic is...aged for a bit. It is so delicious, you can dribble it on cheeses, roasted meats or grilled veggies. My favorite use is dribbled over fresh strawberries. Simply heaven.More

We ordered two of their sandwiches; lovely Caprese sandwich with magnificently toasty and homemade Italian bread, fresh mozzarella, and delicious tomatoes. The Italian sandwich is also quite tasty. Very authentic Italian food!

On our food tour, we stopped at Salumeria Italiana. It’s a very cute Italian grocery store. I wouldn’t have thought to stop here and get a sandwich, but the Italiano was soooooooo delicious! It was the highlight of our trip! (My eight year old proclaims...it true!)More

My family and I were touring the North End of Boston and it was lunch time. While trip planning months earlier, I watched an old foodie travel show from 2012, in which the host came here. He recommended, wisely I might add, to visit the...deli section in the back of this amazing little Italian grocery store and get some food to go. He was totally spot on! We ended up getting two sandwiches, a La Donna and an Italiano, plus a package of mozzarella balls and olives, and a few tiny little samplings of their balsamic vinegar. Walking back to our hotel with the goodness, we every so happily shared the feast up in our room. All of it was simply delicious and the folks in the shop were no nice and helpful. Come here and do this!More

We stopped here as part of a food tour. I am writing this review to help me find it again to purchase imported olive oil and balsamic vinagrette. Our tour guide told us that "salumeria" was the same as delicatessen. all the prepared ham products...and special fermented and pickled veggies, as well as cheeses that you could imagine and imported delicacies.More

The Italian cold cut sandwich was scrumptious! Brought me back to when I was a kid! The bread in combination with delicious meats and cheese hit the spot, and perusing the store with other Italian specialties was wonderful!

Wow-small but mighty! This store has cheese, meats, olive oils, vinegars, biscotti, coffee, cookies, olives, breads....there is SO much more!! This was a stop on the North End food tour with Janet. Janet brought us here and gave us some history on it as well....I was lost in this store exploring all these beautiful Italian products. I even found great cappuccino cups! I can't wait to come here again and again. Visit this store with wonderful items and wonderful people. Better yet, do the North end food tour with Janet!!More

It’s more of a store to get sandwiches than a restaurant. However if you want lunch I recommend many of the restaurants around there except Bella Vista. Bricco, Dolce Vita, Panza, Villa Francesca, and Pagliuca’s are all... More
